This really is the cyclist's fault...

Head-down racing can have fatal consequences. This guy didn't expect a lorry to be parked on the dual carriageway.

Love the quote:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-kent-19615890
"This collision occurred on a fine dry afternoon, the rider was wearing a bright orange shirt and on a yellow racing bike"
WTF has that got to do with the fact that the cyclist ran into the back of a stationary lorry?

"Det Sgt Scott Lynch from Kent Police wants to speak to anyone who saw him before or at the time of the crash" ...and is reminding people of the rider's description."This collision occurred on a fine dry afternoon, the rider was wearing a bright orange shirt and on a yellow racing bike"

I have third party insurance with British Cycling, costs me about £30 a year.. I can't think of anyone I know that doesn't have some sort of cover either through their home insurance, CTC or BC.
Edit, the insurance is included with the £30 cost of joining BC, not just £30 for the cover.

Most cyclists I know are members of British Cycling. Membership includes 3rd party cover. https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/membership/artic...Ali Chappussy said:
Dozy fecker deserved all the pain in the world after that piece of utter stupidity.
As to the person who said that responsible cyclists has insurance, thanks for giving me the biggest laugh of the day, so far. Mind you, it's 4.30 and I don't think it can be beat!
Responsible is the key word. As to the person who said that responsible cyclists has insurance, thanks for giving me the biggest laugh of the day, so far. Mind you, it's 4.30 and I don't think it can be beat!
Your English has given me my biggest laugh of the day - thank you.
