Woman who is a campaigner and activist for black rights in the U.S. has been 'outed' as white by her own parents.

Bizarre. Clearly some mental health or identity issues here.

There is a small, but growing, 'trans-racial' movement in the United States. Their argument seems to be 'I may be white on the outside but deep down I am black/latino/chinese etc, who are you to say otherwise'. It won't be long until equality laws cover such people.

In some ways I agree. If you like black culture then feel free to fully immerse yourself in it and enjoy, but actually claiming to BE black and of African American decent is just a bit odd? Being white wouldn't prevent you enjoying black culture?
