All is not well in the Tour de France

Ouch!
You can almost feel the gravel in the wounds from looking at the images!
Surprised they don't have protective clothing considering the speeds they get up to?
It would be hot as fk and would restrict movement. Helmets have only really been mandatory in racing for the past 12 or so years - good luck trying to get them wearing anything else!!You can almost feel the gravel in the wounds from looking at the images!

Ouch. Some pretty bad injuries there - might be time to start wearing the kind of armour motorcyclists do?
As above - they'll get too hot and it'll restrict movement. The crashing/road rash is an acknowledged risk of the sport and you'll struggle to get the riders to reduce their competitiveness.stuart313 said:

It seems that Lycra is not the invincibility cloak we thought it was.

Would it be too much to include a rofl?
WTF is there to ROFL about? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/othersports/artic...

Suggest you go away and have a word with yourself.
Quality crashing there.
Didn't read the article, mainly because it is in the Mail, but on the wireless today they said they had to stop the race because all of the medics were looking after the crashees.
I know someone that was doing a time trial, he got knocked off by a car and broke his collar bone, but got back one, finished the race, came 3rd then had to wait for his mate to finish to take him to hospital

I assume the OP is trolling. Crashes are reasonably common in road racing; the riders accept the risk every time they race.
OP - are all crashes funny, or just this one?
I would say somewhere in between.OP - are all crashes funny, or just this one?
All these are funny
https://youtu.be/g_A9gzQyGzc
but 0.20 and 2.35 are fking hilarious.
I admit to laughing at the footage of the guy in manchester riding into a bus posted on here recently and I nearly wet myself when my friend fell over in spectacular fashion recently, but this crash when I was shown it this afternoon didn't raise a single titter. I just hoped that none were seriously injured.
Hard as nails doesn't quite cover it for these athletes, respect to every single one of them,

Poor buggers.
Remember picking bits of road gravel out of the palms of your hands as a kid? Or scraping your shins down metal pedals? Or coming to a halt from 20mph on your back? That looks like my memories but tenfold.
Aaaaaaahhh........hhsssssshhhh.......aaaaaaahh........hhhsssssshhhhh......aaaaaahhhh.....hhsssssssshhhh.

Is it just me or is every single last thing the OP posts just moronic drivel?
Nope, it's not just you, the op is a prize handpump...Anyway OP, keep on showing everyone how much of an idiot you are, and try not to give yourself an Aneurysm when the sirens wake you up again tonight!
Back on topic, I've no real interest in the TdF, and I'm no cyclist, but that looks nasty...
