The evidence is that the government has started to address the issue - I'm sorry that you can't or don't understand that.
One thing i do understand is that Governments 'address' lots of things. That is absolutely not the same thing as having a long term solution to a problem particularly if, as people keep repeating, the issue here is not one of benefits but one of behaviours.

A poxy benefit cap will have zero effect upon the latter, particularly when, as you've implied, it's a pretty fictional cap.

Look Ramone and sidekick you two obviously have an underlying affection for each other. It might be mutual hatred or man love who can tell. Bit that's besides the point, whats happened to Jawknee ? have you seen him heard from him ? Some of us are worried

You don't seem to understand very much, as you make lots of claims that you can't support, but when challenged, refuse to withdraw any of them.

Behaviours are driven by external factors, of which benefits is an obvious one HTH.

When did I imply that (or is this where you simply make up something else, without evidence)?

What proportion of the population supported the cap? Over 70% according to this analysis...

I'm not sure why you keep pushing this line. So what if the public supports it. I support it. But that's not the point is it? The question is how exactly multiple political administrations can alter the attitudes of a large chunk of the population who appear increasingly entrenched in their worldview, how long it will take to do so, and how much it will cost in the long run. Do you really think that such a concerted attempt at social engineering can withstand constant turnovers in leadership, direction, budget and personnel? The Government can't even build a fking railway for God's sake, let alone alter human behaviour

But what you're advocating is, if it's too hard just don't bother. I don't agree with that. There needs to be a deterrent.

I'd start by offering rewards for sobbing in cheats.

Gee, you're pretty stupid. It was only a few post ago that you were claiming it was:
"Hardly reflective of the will of the majority,"

It's impossible to have any sort of sensible discussion with people like you when seemingly all you can do is to misrepresent other people, and seemingly contradict yourself too!

A cap on benefits is hardly a 'concerted attempt at social engineering'.

We do in fact have a railway in this country.

Even I'm bored with this now

Sidicks, I admire your unfailing optimism in the ability of our incompetent civil servants and disinterested and distracted politicians to turn our workshy underclass into thrusting beacons of enthusiasm and productivity in short order. God knows what the evidence for that optimism is but if it makes you happy, then fill your boots. HTH

More misrepresentation, how dull. I'm just not clear whether it's deliberate or whether you are simply incapable of reading and understanding basic English?

Whose roads do the trucks that deliver and collect from your warehouse drive on?
And if it catches fire or gets burgled, who will be attending?

Rumours abound of circa 85 labour MPs about to walk - there is an embargo on a letter that the BBC have obtained which contains said rumours, that embargo supposedly ends in nine minutes.

If, when and maybe of course, still, that could be interesting!

I think Burwood's point is that 40% of rent is indefensible.

oh wow. It would be cheaper to pay a full time fireman sam with a hose. Get real people. We are talking about £12 per ft, say 15k feet in rent . So 180k in rent plus 72k in rates. What planet are you on to think that this figure is in any way reasonable. The same 15k ft as a house is 3k in CT and the house gets more services and more deliveries actually due to the incidence of internet shopping. 4 a day id say.

The buy that owns the building had about 200k feet and if that space was empty the council would ask him for 1m quid in rates annually.

it's comedy gold alright

'he has argued in the past for the nationalisation of the UK's banking system, a rapid expansion of public ownership and a new 60% tax rate for earnings over £100,000'

same old st, different day.
