Until our politicians pay at least passing respect to history they will never have anything valuable to contribute and will continue to make the same mistakes over and over again. Benn was the last MP I had any time for. That Abbott thing is nothing more than a tarted-up, attention-seeking fishwife. Her lack of self-awareness or any kind of wisdom is mind-boggling.
Or, she knows that if she says these crazy things now and again, she maintains her position on that show. As declared, she receives £700 for 3hrs. Realistically, it is not a huge rate, but then I assume the beeb arrange the travel to-from, and a nice little lunch is probably thrown in, too. One good thing* about her being in the shadow cabinet is she has had to jack-in 'This Week'.
*As well as contributing to the complete circus that will guarantee Labour defeat in 2020.

Why do we need a new "Angry About Everything All The Time" party when UKIP already exists.V6Pushfit said:
Ken Livingstone has lost the plot completely on Question Time re the London bombers and entirely blames Blair for the atrocity

He's had a broadside from the right minded guests. The man is unhinged.
'Gave their lives' ???? I mean WTF????
I think he lives in a parallel universe where this is somehow OK to publicly state to gain support for JC. There will be another backlash. Will he always be a nutter?
As has been said, it's comedy at its best.
I'm starting to think that if Corbyn ever gained power, one of his first moves would be to nationalise suicide-belt factories."They gave their lives, they said what they believed, they took Londoners' lives in protest against our invasion of Iraq."

Agreed. Corbyn is a pacifist incapable of making contextual judgements in these matters.
Being an RAF Pilot, an RAF Pilot on active service in a war zone, shot down then captured and held, means that Nichol demands the greatest of respect and admiration for his skill, courage and selfless service. It doesn't mean he has or gives the right answers.

The only 'right answer' he gave was that an attack on Syria should be part of a greater strategy as just bombing alone would create more problems that it might solve. He brought up examples to support his contention.
You'll excuse me if I give favour him rather than those whose support for bombing is based on political desires or blind political support.

The cost of that alone must cost the license payer a fortune. Are there any zoo keepers on PH that know how much it costs to feed an adult hippopotamus?

As to keyboard warriors, what beyond the irony of an obvious easy pop yourself, was that about?

It's not edifying watching Her Majesty's Most Loyal Opposition tearing itself to bits over whether the RAF can bomb enemies at location A and B, as opposed to just location B; the distinction is not so much geographic as semantic, but still pointless. Given the bombing started for the purpose of protecting the Yazidi people from murder, rape and torture at the hands of scumbags, growing latterly to aid the Peshmurga and the Iraqi army, I'm not clear what principle Mr Corbyn is protecting.
