I know JC's dress sense is the least of his/Labour's problems at the moment and there are much bigger issues at hand, but I've just seen him on Sky shuffling down to the shops this morning in what appeared to be a shell suit from the Jimmy Saville collection. I appreciate he is under a lot of pressure at the moment (or at least he should be...), but he looked like a complete shambles.
should he not be made aware that he is a reflection of this country and as such his appearance matters .
As each day goes by I dislike him even more

Everyone has their down time - it's not like he was sat at a UN summit is it?

Tim Fallon was on HIGNFY last night Didn't do too badly.

When challenged about labour mps wanting to join his party he was a little coy. He said there had been phone calls but would not be drawn.

I wonder.

Would you prefer a stylist & PR team to assist?

That's a fair point, but he is (at the moment) the leader of HM's Opposition and he looked like a tramp. If he can't be bothered to comb his hair and get dressed in the morning what does that say about his general approach to things?

Joking apart, it's worth mentioning that this would be a bad idea. Despite all the surrender monkey jokes, France is among the most militarily successful of the nations in post Roman Empire Europe. The USA would not exist were it not for French military and naval ruggedness. The French are currently heavily armed and in quite a grumpy mood.

Well spotted...

Take 'em by surprise, get in there disguised as garlic, any time between 11.30 and 14.30, round 'em up by 17.30, exile 'em to Rotherham/Scunthorpe, then move in before the vin goes off and claim your land. That'll teach them for HMS Sheffield.

Sacre bleu et zut alors, sounds like a plan to me. Next Thursday, anybody?

Napoleon is consistently voted as one of the top two generals in the last couple of thousand years. The only one anywhere near comparable is a general from the country publishing the top two list.

It was because the Torys didn't share the same view on HoL reforms, not PR.
Irrespective, it was great to see them reduced from posturing as king-maker - thinking "we're the only party almost certain to be in government after the election" - to a group of 8. Still, better people than in the Labour party.
OT, but that was sweet (nearly as sweet as Balls's loss). They were so smug in their certainty of being the kingmakers that they never saw what was coming until it flattened them.

The Napoleon at Waterloo was like a different man to the Napoleon at Austerlitz (possibly his masterpiece, although some of his much smaller early battles were pretty spectacular feats too). At Waterloo, lots of unforced errors, and too much trust in rather duff or off form Marshals, especially Grouchy and Ney. Napoleon also underestimated Wellington and Blucher, disparaging Wellington as a mere "Sepoy General" and not noticing that in fact he was the real deal. Boney must have been ill, tired, or had just lost his touch somehow. This is not to under play the skill and toughness of the Allied leaders and troops on the day.

All that is off topic, I know, but one thing that can be said about Corbyn is that he lacks leadership qualities. I note also his hypocrisy in expecting loyalty from MPs when he spent his back bench career opposing the Labour Party leadership on pretty much everything. He said a while back that on matters of war MPs should have a free vote, but he may yet decide to impose the whip for the Syria vote.

The definition of Masochism...

Corbyn discussing his leadership on this mornings Marr "I'm not going anywhere, I'm enjoying every moment of it."
