I know JC's dress sense is the least of his/Labour's problems at the moment and there are much bigger issues at hand, but I've just seen him on Sky shuffling down to the shops this morning in what appeared to be a shell suit from the Jimmy Saville collection. I appreciate he is under a lot of pressure at the moment (or at least he should be...), but he looked like a complete shambles.
should he not be made aware that he is a reflection of this country and as such his appearance matters .As each day goes by I dislike him even more

Everyone has their down time - it's not like he was sat at a UN summit is it?
That's a fair point, but he is (at the moment) the leader of HM's Opposition and he looked like a tramp. If he can't be bothered to comb his hair and get dressed in the morning what does that say about his general approach to things?mybrainhurts said:
I'm up for invading France...
Joking apart, it's worth mentioning that this would be a bad idea. Despite all the surrender monkey jokes, France is among the most militarily successful of the nations in post Roman Empire Europe. The USA would not exist were it not for French military and naval ruggedness. The French are currently heavily armed and in quite a grumpy mood.Breadvan72 said:

Sacre bleu et zut alors, sounds like a plan to me. Next Thursday, anybody?

It was because the Torys didn't share the same view on HoL reforms, not PR.
Irrespective, it was great to see them reduced from posturing as king-maker - thinking "we're the only party almost certain to be in government after the election" - to a group of 8. Still, better people than in the Labour party.REALIST123 said:

At Waterloo, lots of unforced errors, and too much trust in rather duff or off form Marshals, especially Grouchy and Ney. Napoleon also underestimated Wellington and Blucher, disparaging Wellington as a mere "Sepoy General" and not noticing that in fact he was the real deal. Boney must have been ill, tired, or had just lost his touch somehow. This is not to under play the skill and toughness of the Allied leaders and troops on the day.
All that is off topic, I know, but one thing that can be said about Corbyn is that he lacks leadership qualities. I note also his hypocrisy in expecting loyalty from MPs when he spent his back bench career opposing the Labour Party leadership on pretty much everything. He said a while back that on matters of war MPs should have a free vote, but he may yet decide to impose the whip for the Syria vote.
