Corbyn doesn't appear to have any man management skills.
It's a trait common with most non-human, humanoids.

If the labour luvvies stay at home and the Conservatives turn out for UKIP it would we a crushing and possibly fatal blow to jezza and Diane.

That would be the tolerant Left at work.
It is repugnantly anti-democratic and uncivilised, but TBF Corbyn has already spoken out on the matter and denounced the trolls and bullies: http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2015/dec/02/ai...

I was impressed by Benn. It takes more to make a leader worthy of becoming PM, but that speech was good.
One of the best speeches made by a Labour MP for bloody years. Made Corbyn squirm, Burnham look like a little schoolboy, and the Tory's loved him.
yes

Alex Salmond missing the wider context: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3344287/Hi...

In summary, with reference to Hilary's late father Tony, Eck said,

“Birling in your grave’ is a well-known Scottish idiom, which means a deceased person would be enormously surprised by the current turn of events. I think it is a fair comment that Tony Benn would have been astonished to hear his son make a pro-war speech in favour of a Tory Prime Minister’s war plans."

Really? Tony did not have the slightest inkling of his son's wider political views?

I'm far from pro-labour, but instead of chasing short-lived meaningless soundbites, I'd like to think Tony might have quietly considered the words of Evelyn Beatrice Hall:

"I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it."

Far opposed to 'Birling in his grave'. rolleyes

That election win is going to embolden him now. He will be around for a while unless ousted. His ex is going to be even more unbearable.

I agree, I think that result was probably about the best we could have hoped for!

Made my day, that. And probably Tory head office too.

The last thing they want is Hilary Benn taking over.

You have to wonder about the thought processes of half of Oldham's residents though...

Well... in most of the country you can probably stick a red badge or blue badge on a turd and they'd still vote for it.

Absolutely. Hanging offence around here to vote blue. Well, getting better.

Are they able to think for themselves, or is it once Labour always Labour?

After Benn's speech and weeks of gaffs from McDonnell and Corbyn, plus a probably weak hold of tonight's by-election, I think move will be made next week to ensure he is ditched and Labour still have a good 4 years to stand at least some hope in 2020.
If labour lose tonight, will this week be worse, or on a par with last week??

Well they clearly don't have much sense do they. Corbyn can now claim to have both an electoral and a party mandate and lead Labour to election suicide in 2020.

Ken Livingstone trying to defend the smear tactics against the 'NO' voting Labour MP's:

“You had Tory central office people wandering round the newspapers back when I was leader of the GLC, saying I’d been sodomised by six men in succession at a gay orgy.”

Incredible that hes trying to defend it, but the GLC was abolished in 1986 as a result of his leadership and high spending/political/abhorrent views. It was bankrupt under his leadership. He also met Gerry Adams who at the time was banned from entering the UK due to membership of a terrorist organisation.

Livingstone is stuck in such a resentful past. The Conservatives want to be in power via policies and politics whereas Corbyn, Livingstone et al seem to want to be in power by being a thorn in the side of the progress and success of the UK.

if you look at some of the die hard labour areas then there is no thought given by the people voting. I have often said that in Liverpool they could put a chimp up and as long as he had a red rosette he would still get elected.

Same where I live. You could put a blue rosette on a pot plant and it would get voted in.

And, as a result, we lost an excellent Lib Dem MP who'd served since 1995 and got an absolute tt of a Mayor voted back in.

To be fair you can say that about die hard Tory areas too.

That was rather my point. There are parts of the country where the inherent views are entrenched, no matter which side of the political spectrum you affiliate to.

Eh? That's exactly the opposite of my point. Sounds like you're in one of the constituencies which are genuinely contested.
