Has anyone seen any analysis of what the recent polling data would translate to in terms of seats? (roughly)

And of course all those people who put the 'X' in the box that said "Labour" had absolutely no opinion on the leader of the party they were voting for. None whatsoever. They probably didn't even know who he was...
All those people?

Less than 300 could be arsed to get out of bed for it. 13% turnout.

If Corbyn really was 'reaching people' and 'appealing to the electorate' you could expect better numbers than that. All that result proves is people couldn't give a fk about local politics, and that Corbyn isn't the thing that's going to get them down the polling booth.

The latter is the point the entire thread has been trying to make to you for several pages. Not that it's having any effect.
In that particular area he has reached more people and enthused them get up of their arses to vote instead of the other parties. The other parties clearly didn't do a very good job by the sounds of things. Labour won this election, no matter how small, because they were more popular among the voters in that area than the other parties. That's how this whole business works.

I bet you all of those Labour voters knew who Jezza was.

Did Jezza ever get round to talking to ISIS over a nice cup of tea?

Not necessarily true. He could have had a lot, some, or no impact- we don't know their motivations to vote one way or the other.

True.

Aye, and I bet the 87% who didn't vote know who he is as well. Doesn't bode well, does it?

True but put it this way, his leadership didn't stop them winning this election so it can't be all that bad.

They seemingly weren't that fussed about the party led by JC winning or they would have gone out to vote against him/them.

They'll be saving that for an election which matters.

You can see the poll above, yes? Rated worse than Kezia Dugdale, and she's a diabolical waste of space. Can you explain why you think he's going to do well at a GE?

Coz it sez so on The Canary.

Having had the misfortune to peruse a few Canary articles of late, I can only surmise that they have been taken over by TheDailyMash, and have now become another parody site.

Blimey. Owen Smith is making some bloody bold claims in his speech at the moment.

The buses are late because of Tory austerity, and the trains too...... apparently.

He's making Corbyn look rational.

Don't forget the NHS being st in Wales too because of the Tories. Ok so there's been a Welsh Labour 'Government' in power ever since devolution, and the Welsh NHS gets the same money as the English one per capita. But it's still the Tories fault. Just because.

I have just been watching part of his speech and the question that always pops into my head as always is.

How are we going to pay for all of this?

The Labour party do pick um!!! When you see the mediocrity of the people that stand against Corblimey you realise how truly fked Labour are!!!! The first opponent cries on TV then has a press launch that makes a primary school play look professional. The second guy sounds like a 14 year debating the merits of homeopathy!!!!!

and raise taxes to 60% along with capital gains taxes, stamp duty, NI. Simples. The tax take won't actually change because the wealthy will either move abroad or dream up new ways of avoiding it.

He's told a few lies there. Sorry Owen.

And you can quote Aneurin Bevan's name as many times as you like - it changes nothing.
