What a shame. Poor Cecil
Fair to say, I think everyone involved is going to get their comeuppance.
How will he? If he's back in the States nothing will happen unless he ever returns to Zimbabwe. If he has committed a crime there then I guarantee you that the USA will not extradite him under any circumstances.Fair to say, I think everyone involved is going to get their comeuppance.

Hopefully Cecil's death will not be in vain and this barbaric pastime will be made illegal world wide.
The problem is that if legal, sanctioned hunts were to be banned or even just go out of fashion, it would be a tremendous blow to conservation efforts. There's not many individuals on this Earth who are willing to part with tens of thousands of pounds for these animals and get nothing in return. And its not trophy hunting tourism that is wiping the animals out these days - it is locals poaching for bush meat and alternative medicines, ivory etc for black markets - the perpetrators of which are the last people to have any concern about the ethics, or what the rest of the world 'thinks' of them.So as a 'hobby', big game tourism I sadly think its a necessary evil to offset illegal poaching. But what this dentist did was just that - poaching. And entirely indefensible.

Whoever handles their Twittering needs to learn when to step away from the keyboard. From Yelp....
Called Walter about a terrible pain in my mouth. My upper molars were aching so badly I didn't know what to do. It turns out there was a lion stuck between my teeth. To fix the problem, this skillful dentist unconventionally lured me outside of his office for the procedure. Then, Mr. Palmer happily removed the lion and shot it with a bow and arrow. 40 hours of painful torture later, the good doctor had skinned and beheaded the problem. Thanks Dr. Palmer!
The best part was that he only charged me $50,000 for all of that work. What a guy!
Was it wrong to laugh at this?
Cannot understand why you would get jollies from killing such an amazing animal for no reason!

I have emailed this wker on info@riverbluffdental.com to tell him exactly what I think of him.
You may want to do the same.
I'm currently booking random appointments under false names through their website. Disrupt his business so he won't be able to afford his hunting trips any more You may want to do the same.
website seems a little slow though

From his practice website
"Dr. Palmer is married with two children. He is a North Dakotan and enjoys all outdoor activities. Anything allowing him to stay active and observe and photograph wildlife is where you will find Dr. Palmer when he not in the office."
Not quite the full story, eh Walter.....
