Baggs launched his company Bluewave Communications in 2007 and had held a press conference on Tuesday to launch his latest product on the Isle of Man - a home hub.

He tweeted about the success of the launch on Wednesday.

His friend and employee Ryan Gilmour said: "Stuart was an inspirational boss - he was a friend, a mentor. He'd come in full of enthusiasm every single day to work.

"He was funny, he'd come in straight away and he'd cheer you up... he'd motivate you, he was such a great guy."

He was on an episode of come dine with me recently.

Came across as a really nice bloke.
I saw that too. Lost an impressive amount of weight.

I unfortunately have a cynical mind and I hope I am wrong about his cause of death.

I know someone who is a friend with one of the producers and he told me that yes, they do assess the candidates' psychology. The less "normal" they are, the more likely they are to be selected.
My thoughts exactly. If you're desperate and delusional - you're in.
Yes, look at Katie Hopkins.

RIP.

What a complete tit Claude is for refusing to shake Stuart's hand. I had something similar at an interview once, but I didn't give up after 5-6 seconds the interviewer relented and shook hands. I got the job.

27 no age at all.

He was great on the show always brought a smile when he came out with some classic lines. Such a shame.

Perhaps he is going to confound Claude and come back reincarnated as a fish, just as a told you so.

I always remember him as the bloke who made Lord Sugar's 'technology expert' look like a complete fool over what ISP referred to.

Poor guy - such a young man.
Me too.

It seems to me that Stuart Baggs was a very bright chap and no more delusional, or "full of st" as Sugar put it, than most job applicants.

He portrayed himself as an over confident and brash individual, undoubtedly to get on and remain in the show. However, that was turned against him when it suited the producers to manufacture a dramatic exposé. It's not possible to know the full story but, based upon what we saw, it appears that he was guilty of little more than exaggerating the scope of his business. I imagine that Lord Sugar may have been guilty of a little exaggeration during his career too!

What SB definitely DID do, though, was expose Bordan Tkachuk as being the bigger blagger and hypocrite. He also did a pretty good job of trying to defend himself against some pretty hostile interviewing, at the same time trying to remain polite. Whilst being filmed.

I must admit I felt sorry for the chap at the time. I thought he was treated pretty badly and, for all his front, I can imagine he could have felt quite damaged by the experience.

I have been involved with TV light entertainment, owned a telecoms firm (no licences required) and I have interviewed a few brash young sales people. I would have employed Stuart Baggs before the majority of other Apprentice applicants that have graced our screens.

Let's hope it was an accident, rather than anything darker. Twenty-seven is far too young to go, whatever the reason.

I have a theory that an awful lot of people who appear on this programme are people who suffer from various psychological disorders or inadequacies.

I would not be surprised if this chap had a mental health history of some sort dating back to well before he appeared on the show.

It will be interesting to hear what the coroner's report concludes when it eventually is published.

Or maybe he just worked himself to death. He was boasting about putting in 18 hours days and only sleeping for 4 hours. Although that leaves 2 missing hours.

I'm not sure I agree with you. There are some, no doubt, that hover on the edge of sanity. But a great many more just want to be on TV, either for the sake of being on TV or to otherwise promote themselves. The thing is, TV people generally dislike anyone who is on their program for any reason other than that which was intended, which may have contributed to SB's downfall in such an uncompromising manner.

That's not to say you are wrong about him having mental health issues - he may well have had. But I don't think the majority of would-be apprentices have.

I met Stuart a few times through a mutual friend on the Isle of Man, a genuine nice/funny guy.

Very sad for all that knew him.
To add:
In reply to some of the speculation on here, I have no reason to believe this was anything sinister, Stuart was about to launch his revolutionary (to the island) 4G service on the Isle of Man...He was very excited about this, everything was going well for him.

He will be sorely missed by all that knew him.

That and the fact that editing - sympathetic, kind, unkind or whatever - can portray a very false sense of an individual's character and personality.

It was a bit, I admit - but knowing something about how the TV programme he appeared in operates, I know they do have their eye out for those they consider to be, lets say, a little unpredictable.
