The car park where the plane ended up is actually part of the British Car Auctions site, rather than the airport car park - which is next to the control tower.

The section it appears to have hit is the sold car bit - so, as any car at auction belongs to the buyer as soon as the hammer comes down, several buyers will be regretting not collecting their cars sooner.

RIP to the poor people on the plane. frown

I have heard it was registered in Saudi and belongs to the BinLaden family (ie distant distant relations of you know who). Can anyone confirm? I think it's my neighbour :-(

There's a lot of Twitter idiots stating this is 911 karma..... I despair.

I remember the Bin Laden family for two things:

1) Disowning their, erm, 'troublesome' sibling and
2) Being one of the founding investors and sponsors of Williams F1

So, if they liked race cars and jets, I'd like to think they were PH-types

Indeed, wishing ill on people for the behavour of one of their family is a bit off IMO.

Not nice.

What will happen is the conspiracy loons will go into meltdown. They will not let this rest whatever the reason.

The Bin Laden family is huge (no, not just financially which of course they are too) - OBL's father had 25+ children and 10+ wives. And each child would have had several children and the sons multiple wives. And their son's multiple wives too. There could easily be 500 of them.

Not sure it's fair to blame all his family members for the sins of OBL.

Yet whenever "disaffected youths" go from Bradford or wherever and sign up for IS, the finger is pointed at the family for not doing more to stop it. Selective judgement from a lot of PH, or maybe just a question of scale.

There are over 800 of them. Of course it's not his dad.

Not sure if it my actual neighbour or family guests as the house is used as a summer residence.

I expect they are going to have to put up with a load of provincial dheads with burning pitchforks now.

There's a world of difference betweenness the actions of a teenager from Bradford and the actions of a fully grown man who has not lived at home for years, and has his own family.

For the record, Middle Eastern registered biz jets are very regular visitors to Farnborough and sometimes Blackbushe.
