Are men afraid of transgender women?
Discussion

I have no problem with transgender women, let them be who they want to be. Would I shag a post-op transgender woman? I don't think I would. I don't know what this article is implying. Are they saying it's wrong to not want to get intimate with a transgender woman?
Anyway, discuss

I'd be fuming if I slept with a "woman" then found out it wasn't really one
I have fallen foul of this, a few beers in and bagged off only to wake up next to what I can only describe as a pig.I made a very quiet exit I can tell you.
Dingo ugly. When dingoes are caught in traps, they'll chew thier own leg off to escape. In a similar vein, occasionally one's waking partner is so hideous that you'll willingly forgo having two arms for the rest of your life in order to make a clean escape...

Sleeping with a ten-pinter is not really comparable to banging something that used to be an actual bloke.I don't think straight men not wanting to shag other men who have for their own reasons decided that they want to be women means they are afraid of them, anymore than gay men who don't want to sleep with women are afraid of women!

What difference does it make? A human is a human. They have the same organs bar one or two. The only differences as far as I can tell is that men tend to be hairier and have coarser skin and some sex organs...which the gender reassignment 'fixes'. Therefore equal?
If you thought you were buying a Ferrari and then found out it was an MR2 in a wig wouldn't you feel a tad aggrieved? GroundEffect said:

not really equal. There is 2% difference in the DNA of a human male and a chimp male, like wise there is a 2% difference in the DNA of a female human and a female chimp.
Interestingly there is a 2% difference in the DNA of a male human and a female human.
Human men are as different from human women are as we are different to chimps.
I have no issue at all with transgender. What I do have issue with though is that militant LGBT(Q) quasi-organisation that claims to represent the interests of what are IMO four (five) perfectly legitimate but disparate groups of people with precious little in common sexually.
A male-to-female transgendered person who has always and will always fancy men is heterosexual AFAIC.
Gender is physicality, sexuality is preference. Neither should be an identity.

i would advise those offering some of the more offensive opinions need to be careful of various legislation as 'Hate crime convict' really doesn;t go down well on CVs ...
for all you know your boss ( or his /her boss) could be trans ...

Was this your defence when you were caught in bed with a chimp? There is 2% difference in the DNA of a human male and a chimp male, like wise there is a 2% difference in the DNA of a female human and a female chimp.

Both males and females possess the X chromosome, females have two copies. In females, only one is 'switched on' in each cell.
Males have one X chromosome and one Y chromosome. The Y chromosome is quite small, contains 78 genes, and basically doesn't do a lot except instruct the body to grow a penis. In terms of the amount it contributes to the overall genome, it's about 0.3%. The X chromosome is much larger.
So there is actually a very small difference in the DNA of a male human and a female human
