If those three men did even 10% of what various articles claim they'll probably never need to pay for dinner in France again.
Rght, and also in their home towns. They will get standing ovations from the diners in their local restaurants. Americans do know how to respect their military.

Whilst the whole thing does sound like a film script, for those who are doubting the "coincidence" aspect of the story, do you not think the Americans on the train would have had a little more weaponry and equipment at their disposal than what looks like a ripped-up shirt to bind the terrorist with - no guns, no armour, no restraints, etc?

It is an amazing story but at present there's no obvious evidence that it's anything but just that?
My first thought was they where "undercover" etc but as above when the facts started coming out I realised I've just watch too much TV :-)

We'd all like to think we'd do the same.

Its a very over used term these days but they are "Heroes" IMO

It seems the French actor who cut is hand while pulling the emergency stop cord is also getting a medal sent in the post according to the Telegraph.

Mayor used the word "Sangfroid" - composure or coolness shown in danger or under trying circumstances. To describe their actions.

This will be brushed so hard under the carpet.

God forbid people learn he was probably north-african and powered by the peaceful-est religion on earth.
What?

It's the headline item on the BBC radio news this morning. It's the top story on The Guardian, Telegraph, Mirror, BBC News and Daily Mail's website front pages. It doesn't seem to be being swept under the carpet at all.

The French would be complaining that the Americans made their train late.

So they were racist then and they've attacked a poor innocent person who happened to look a bit "foreign" but who was just loading up his AK47 as he liked to carry at least two guns with him everywhere in case he was attacked. wink

From the reports I've read, one of the marines choked him out, while another guy gave him a good few whacks in the head with the butt end of the captured AK47.
I think they tried to shoot him with the captured AK but the gun jammed, that's why they beat him with the stock

I just found this in the Daily Mail.

'He was just telling us to give back his gun. "Give me back my gun! Give me back my gun!" But we just carried on beating him up and immobilised him and that was it.'

Sometimes it's better to let people think you're a dick rather than confirm it.
Really?

There is nothing wrong saying it is a muslim attack cos it was. They are funded by rich muslims and will carry on killing. The day more is done by muslims to stop this the day it will end.

I heard a report on BBC Radio news. He is a radical Islamist and has been to Syria. If I put 2+2 together, that equals ISIL.

The Mayor of Arras has presented medals for gallantry to the three men.

Let's just be grateful that Islamic fighters aren't posing as civilians and blending in with the thousands of migrants entering Europe illegally
