Being as it always seems to be the cyclist's fault when they are in the road. I would say that the pedestrian is to blame for not using a crossing.

Thoroughly enjoying the victim-blaming though chaps. Good show.

It's not only 'not slow moving traffic' he also appears to be crossing against the lights, so he doesn't have priority anyway. In addition he shouts abuse at her just as he first goes out of sight.

He's a complete twunt

The cyclist opens with please dont try to knock me off something you start?
he says
she does finger thing
he chases after her
tells her off
knocks her off

Is that the sequence?

I guess we all have to accept there are people with egos so very fragile that their only course of action when faced with such terrible verbal abuse is to react with violence.
Well, yeah, have you not looked around and seen the society we live in?

Half the population of this country struggle to breathe with their mouth closed. Combine that with abusive cyclists and what's the outcome likely to be?

Of all the fktard cyclists in London who don't stop for pedestrians on pedestrian crossings, who ride on non-shared use footpaths when pedestrians are on it and expect everyone to get out of their way, who fail to stop for red lights, who fail to stop for pedestrians who have priority crossing at junctions, this chump picked on a cyclist who didn't do anything wrong.

Maybe he can punch out a more appropriate target next time and make the capitol a better place for pedestrians.

He's crossing against the lights.
She says something like ''please dont try to knock me off''
He says, out of sight, ''Shut up, you *indistinct*''
I can't see where it is that she does the finger thing
He chases after her, presumably swears at her as it is bleeped out
Shouts at her some more
Pushes her over

Yep, that's about it.

According to the Guardian, the police no longer need to appeal.

It's pretty obvious from reading this thread that many people refuse to back down from a confrontation. This is likely to escalate the situation as can be seen here. It's just human nature i guess and will go on and on forever.

You've failed to understand what I have written. Just to clarify once more because you don't seem to understand. I am not in any way justifying him attacking her in any way.

I'll repeat the question for you, s-l-o-w-l-y:

Would he have lamped her if she hadn't flipped him the bird?
^^^^Exactly this.

Cause and affect. It might not be everybody's liking, legal or moral, but action A prompted action B.
Apart from action A being prompted by a previous action, him crossing on a red pedestrian light. He was completely in the wrong.
Traffic was stationery, he waited for the bike to pass I think ?

Is there a law about Peds crossing the road when there isn't a green light or is there another reason the ped was "completely in the wrong" ?

He's a , his actions could have had horrendous implications and deserves all that’s coming to him.

She's a tt for baiting people whilst filming the action.

she sure got her YT glory.

Personally, I'd have thought that slowing marginally and motioning people across in front with a smile would go a LONG way to defuse such situations.

I don't agree with the cyclist 100% BUT you can't chase down a woman on a bike and push her over - it's wrong on so many levels, starting with YOU DONT STRIKE A WOMAN - however annoyed you are. That for me is the end of.
