Private establishment enforces dress code. Hardly news, is it?
They got it wrong at branch level though, which is how it became news.

Costa have apologised to her, given her some vouchers and have said they will have a word with the branch in question.

Dear god. I'm all for people doing what they like, but that aint a good look is it? I don't mind an atheletic woman with a bit of muscle (e.g. Jess Ennis-Hill) but that's a bit far.

I am sick and tried on this sort of thing, more women should be allowed to wear what they want, the skimpier the better as long as they are fit, fatties should cover up.

It would make everyones day better.
I'm onside with this, it's the voice of reason.

Er, I'm sure I shouldn't have to point this out, but feeding a baby is a necessity, while one's choice of clothing is, ultimately, a choice.
Is it not a choice to have a baby or not?
Yes is it. But, once one has aquired a baby, feeding it or not is not a choice.
Feeding in Costa is.

I've no problem with breastfeeding or sports bras. She does look very manly in some of those instagram photos though.

Why did they sell her a coffee in the first place then?

Going out in public in your underwear is not discreet.

It's all about good manners really.
Its not underwear its gym clothing. She is a personal trainer its what she wears for work.
Plenty of pubs have no hi-viz signs, keeps the riff raff out.

It seems a lot of people on here don't know what a sports bra is, it's not underwear for a start! rolleyes

So a reasonably fit and attractive young lady goes to buy some coffee in slightly revealing sportswear, if she was on the continent, people wouldn't bat an eyelid but it seems it's just not the done thing here. I often find the attitude in this country strangely prudish in a lot of regards, we aren't living in Victorian England any more.
