Why did they sell her a coffee in the first place then?
Maybe it was a takeaway.

Why do so many "selfie obsessed" people take them in the mirror but look at the camera?
It kinda highlights that they don't know how these things work.

It seems a lot of people on here don't know what a sports bra is, it's not underwear for a start! rolleyes

So a reasonably fit and attractive young lady goes to buy some coffee in slightly revealing sportswear, if she was on the continent, people wouldn't bat an eyelid but it seems it's just not the done thing here. I often find the attitude in this country strangely prudish in a lot of regards, we aren't living in Victorian England any more.
IIRC a sports bra *is* underwear - but in the pic she's not wearing a sports bra! It's some kind of sports/gym top, but not underwear. Pretty prudish of the customers, but places the staff in a difficult position - damned if they do, damned if they don't.

Ridiculous to go to the papers though - non story.

So what about those ladies with their black what ever you call them pulled so far up their arse you can see all the pimples on their arses. Are they kicked out?

What if two gays, (and good luck to them) sat in Costa holding hands, would they be kicket out.

So whats the bother with someone wearing a sports bra FFS.

Its not underwear its gym clothing. She is a personal trainer its what she wears for work every day. It covers quite a bit compared to some of the bikini tops I have seen worn on hot days in towns.
So why wear gym clothing to a coffee shop?

That's a fruitless line of inquiry.

People wear all sorts of different clothing all over the place. Costa head office have already said that the branch in question were in the wrong.

Just as an aside, I used to have a particularly liberal girlfriend who used to go out, including to coffee shops, wearing mini-dresses and no underwear.

There is a Costa across the road from my gym. When I was training with a gym hottie (sports top, nice leggings-she squats bro etc) we'd go across for a coffee straight from the gym.

Er, I'm sure I shouldn't have to point this out, but feeding a baby is a necessity, while one's choice of clothing is, ultimately, a choice.
Is it not a choice to have a baby or not?
Yes is it. But, once one has aquired a baby, feeding it or not is not a choice.
Feeding in Costa is.

I've no problem with breastfeeding or sports bras. She does look very manly in some of those instagram photos though.
Rather silly logic. A black guy trying to stay at "hypothetical generic 1960s racist hotels inc." would be as much of choice (in choosing to visit that particular establishment). Doesn't make the restriction moral, especially when many markets have a habit of moving in such a tight lockstep that finding "some other place" is damn nearly impossible.

Does seem an overreaction to me - sports bras really aren't that stripper-y - but I'm fine with them imposing that restriction.
