It seems that no one was hurt. Hopefully that's correct.

Do kindly stroll on elsewhere, Dick.

Fires on airliners aren't a laughing matter.

Quite. Two people transported for minor injuries, at least it didn't take off. Flightradar24 say it reached a max speed of 78kts on the runway.

Touchy arnt you? yes big scary thing, I read the link, 2 minor injuries.

Still the 777 does like a bbq now and then aye.
Touchy, maybe. Initial reports aren't always accurate.

That you seem to find this funny simply marks you out as something of an idiot, and your phrasing implies you aren't entirely in command of your senses.

You must have serious insecurity issues I assume, you seem to take everything personally. At what point did I say I found it funny? Perhaps take some reading/comprehension lessons and come back one day.

You seem to have amused yourself - if nobody else - by referring to an airliner fire as a bbq?

Whatever timezone you're in, and however acceptable it is to be off your tits at the local time of day where you are, you're completely out of order regardless of where you are, and wherever the rest of us may be.

Come on, you're both long term useful posters, no need for that. If I were on that plane I wouldn't find your comment on 777s useful in the slightest, imagine the view from inside.

Had you been on the flight, our chum would have cheerfully referring to you as part of the BBQ.

Still going for the uncalled for personal attacks along with the utter lack of comprehension.

You'll have to dig deep, and explain to the rest of us how your description of a major fire on an airliner can be laughed at as a 'bbq', without appearing to be an utter, and complete tool.

I do think your comment on it being a barbecue was a bit off. There are people in there, scared living stless, watching the flames on take-off. As I said, your comments aren't helpful.

CNN spent most of the Anderson Cooper show on this tonight. They're still hoping for fatalities so Anderson can jet out there and turn it into a week long 24/7 saga.

Glad everyone is more or less ok - this could have been so different if it had occurred just moments later. I'd imagine there's some pretty severe talks going on in the maintenance department right now.

Are you not supposed to,leave all, your luggage in an emergency, how did they get cases down the inflatable ramps, and couldn't the extra time taken getting them and potential for blockage in a panic caused delays resulting I deaths if the fire was a little faster?

Anyway good job it was only taxiing

I'd be surprised if it was just taxiing (although I've just read that elsewhere too) - more likely to be when they go full throttle for takeoff.

They do what? Exactly? No actually don't bother to reply.

You maybe mean the 787 and recent (ish) issues with battery/fire problems? Maybe you do maybe you don't. Again don't bother to reply.

Hopefully Ed has stopped wasting his time with you as you really can't grasp the juvenile nature of your comments.

Anyway, looks like a good response from the fire service and everyone is out and ok.

It wasn't taxiing, it was about to take off. ADS-B can't lie, I don't think.

That looks like the runway to my uninformed eyes. It had reached 78kts on the runway, 78kts is almost 90mph. I'm no aviation expert, and I'm sure they'll come along, but it's not a good situation to my mind.

fking barbecue. fking tt.
