What an awful woman and I take that view from just watching her on Newsnight. She should wear a badge "take me seriously or else". It was a stupid response to someone he didnt really know but she has gone way off the scale.
Would be interesting to see how her career develops now .

I've never seen someone whose haircut and personality are so closely matched.
I do believe that sexism is still a significant issue and I have sympathy for genuine cases........... however having watched this woman last night I couldn't help but feel she is of the "professional complainer" type..... she doesn't want an apology (which she has already received anyway), what she wants is to humiliate him and ruin his career for her own gratification and 5 minutes of fame.

She was on channel 4 news earlier in the evening as well, I don't understand why this whingebag is being given so much air time and why was the man not allowed on to defend himself... or for that matter why she is showing everyone the private communication that caused offense but not the apology she freely admits she received.

I knew I had seen her somewhere before.

Wonder what she does for laughs

I think that now she has royally stuffed up her legal career, she is rapidly trying to reinvent herself as the media's "go to person" for soundbites on all future feminist issues. Expect to see a fair bit more of her I think frown

She really is a horrendous woman! Having just watched the Newsnight interview, I know what Carter-Silk meant when he complimented the photo, it really does make her look 100% better than she does in real life!

If he hadn't included the comment about political incorrectness, he might have got away with saying he was simply complimenting the quality of the snap itself.

I do think she should have been picked up more on the references she made about his age.

He's doing the right thing keeping his head down.

Yip, and joyless is an appropriate thread title. She personifies the word.

What a bore.

Not sure I see her as a 'rent a mouth', she doesn't really speak fluently or to a wide audience IMO. She came across as stilted and a bit 'odd' in the two interviews I watched.

I was tempted to ask PH's beagles this question yesterday; a PhD sabbatical, a questionable media we publicity punt, TV studio rounds, it doesn't look like full-on career focus but then IANAB.

She looks like she's about to burst into tears if she doesn't get her way. I'd imagine the BBC have a job lined up for her. Just the sort of person they're looking for.

The media refer to her as a 'high flying barrister' but it doesn't stack up; Keele for a start, bar school 2010, mphil 2011, presumabaly that means she didn't get a pupillage, so when did she do that year, 2012? And now she's doing a Phd? So she was a practising barrister 2013 and 2014 at most? Riiight
