The woman in the convertible was terrified from all the bullying towards her, no one talked to her in a calm and polite manner did they? It varied from shouting and swearing, to blaming her for anything happening to kids/teenagers walking home from school!

Quickest solution would be to offer to reverse the Merc for the old man.
The old man was scared and the women acted daft.I would have gone in the old man's car and backed it up for him if he would have let me.

Thats what happened in the end.If youre going to point the finger at anyone being a bully its the driver of the convertible. After trying to get her to come down from the highest horse this side of armageddon they decided it was easier to help the guy reverse his car the longer distance
