I'm pretty sure that outside of the rather idiosyncratic views of this sub forum, most people would consider Britain First to be 'nastier' than the BBC.

You don't have to like the Beeb's programming; you should despise what Britain First stand for.

this seems to be borne out by the fact that the people I know on FB who like/share the stuff are nearly all friends parents and 50+.
It's mostly 'merkins on mine (to be fair they have a different perspective on their armed forces etc. and so probably get duped by the patriotic stories - these are Democrats btw) but also a few 'don't know much about history' Brits - i'm often stunned by how little some 'educated' people actually know e.g. one female acquaintance who teaches Japanese asked me if Japan was in WWII (can't remember how the conversation started but it ended in a WTF from me!)

Not sure. In terms of specific nastiness BF win.

However, a lot of people are pissed of with paying tax & licence fees to an organisation that produces nothing or little that they value or enjoy. Then you get to the thorny issue of controlling and shaping people's opinions; let's not forget how the BBC played it's part in all the previous pro-open borders PC absolutism. It has been found severly wanting - some would actually say biased - in its reporting of new both at home and abroad and the panel of representative on Newsnight has merited a thread all of it's own.

Ok - you don't like the BBC. A view that's not going to make you many enemies on here.

This thread is about Britain First, and, while it seems that everything on here eventually descends into Mulims/the BBC, I'm going to leave this here as I don't want to encourage another detour.

the point is that there's an idealogical gulf between why someone would find one or the other of the very different organisations more loathsome, and it's all about the makeup of said person - that you can't see this is more about your own lack of empathy or vision

Good grief. I've read some crap on here but I think this must deserve some sort of prize. So it's 'my lack of empathy or vision' that makes me think that Britain First are a degree or two worse than the BBC is it? Rightio chap - maybe lay off the brown acid, eh?

How many of the BF are pedos (I guess 0) now on the other hand the BBC have/had a few, so who are the nastier...

BF are only doing what huge amounts of the population think anyway, but doing it the wrong way.

Just so we're clear here: you believe that the 'vast amount' of the British public agree with the aims of Britain First?

My guess is that he wishes "vast amounts of the public" agreed with the aims of BF. Ergo it "must be true".

Why do we have so many anti Islam/Muslim threads on many forums, but not anti Christan, Jewish, etc etc threads?

No wish from me, just you like to put your head in the sand and leave all the dirty work to others.

yes

Britain First are a group practicing and preaching racial intolerance however their justification for not being racist is, to summarise, that they just don't want non-British people in Britain; as if discriminating against numerous groups of people means they're somehow now not discriminating at all.

Adolf Hitler wanted only the Aryan race to continue in Europe and he discriminated against everyone and anyone else. That doesn't mean he wasn't racist and didn't discriminate.

I noticed one of their policies is to: Offer generous grants to those of foreign descent resident here who wish to leave permanently.

Wow. Just wow.

That's a very strange thing to say indeed.

What on earth could possibly make you think that the percentage of paedophiles within the membership of Britain First is any less than that within the population as a whole, let alone to assert that there is not a single one therein?

I'm not picking on you here, I'd make exactly the same enquiry if someone else claimed that there was probably not a single urophage within the massed ranks of the RSPB or that not a single membership card of the National Trust was in the hands of a gerontophile.

They were against the islamification of Britain in the documentary the other night,is islam a race?
The only racism I saw in the two documentaries on the other night was the Asians towards the Jewish guy.

You'd guess wrong. One of their regional organisers is a convicted paedophile.

No, your "lack of empathy or vision" makes you unable to understand that quite different factors and processes would drive someone to loath either. What you personally think of either is irrelevant to this point.

It's not about what was in the documentary, it's what's stated on their official website.

They as much a racist group as the BNP, National Front, EDL, Stormfront etc.

They have a point when they say that they are about hating people on the basis of religion rather than race. So they're more like ISIS than the KKK. So that's just fine then.

They're still about hating people.
