Shame, but will keep happening forever in the US.

The 4chan lot are awful, but pretending to care whilst obstructing all reform is somewhat worse IMO. Honest psychopaths I can handle.

jesus wept. it certainly looks like there is no shortage of fruit loops out there. "Hello everyone,
My name is Rory Cellan-Jones, I am a reporter for the BBC.
It's looking like the shooter could have posted on here this morning. Can any of you tell me about his post?
Do any of you know the shooter? Did any of you react to the thread? Would you be comfortable appearing on the BBC to give your views and a overview of your interactions in the thread and the general theme of the thread and the responses in general?"
Classy

Why schools, of all places?!
Because they are easy targets; you can kill a lot of people without fear of being stopped. Also because killing people in schools usually affects the rest of the community the most. The biggest school massacre in US history wasn't perpetrated with firearms, nor are they a new phenomenon. Gooogle 'Bath Township, Michigan'
Reading some of the comments on the various news sites I find it incomprehensible that so many Americans are blaming the 'liberals' for this and saying the answer is to arm MORE people. I know people that I wouldn't trust with a pencil sharpener but in the States they could arm themselves to the teeth.

No one is saying to arm people who can't be trusted to be armed. Neither are they saying that there should be more guns - that's just a media red herring. What is being pointed out is that these things occur almost exclusively in places where the law abiding and safe members of society are not allowed to possess the firearms they already have and may legally possess elsewhere. Schools, Churches, etc are 'gun-free' zones by law and it is 'gun-free' zones which suffer mass shootings. The moron who shot up the cinema a couple of years back went past at least two closer ones to picked up on the only one in the area which had 'no guns' signs posted.
Watch John Oliver's three videos on gun control in the US, it's a depressing insight into the moronic mentality of a minority of Americans who make it easy for massacres like this to occur:

Until America does the right thing and bans guns, innocent kids will keep getting shot. It's that simple.
