May I recommend that anyone wishing to sign the petition actually reads the report (or at least the executive summary) before signing?
That way any petitioning can be done from an informed position.
Which report are you referring to, as what Hunt i proposing is not supported by any report. That way any petitioning can be done from an informed position.
I could not agree that the whole NHS needs root and branch reform more but starting by demoralizing, demotivating and loosing its most critical assets is not a good starting point.

Signed some time ago. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/108782
When my wife was training a 100hr week was a good week. I remember one "shift" that began 9.00am Friday through to 5.00pm Monday. No sleep and then another full week with waking on call.
Nobody, not involved in medicine, would believe the workload. Things have improved a bit since the early '90's but Hunt is trying to turn to clock back to those days. Would you guys who refused to sign really be happy to have your loved ones treated by a Junior who had not slept for three days.
A Junior is a Junior until they become a Consultant (if they do) in their 30's. When my wife was training her basic pay for 40 hours was bad, the next 50 were paid less than hospital cleaners, and the rest were not paid at all.
Sign or don't sign, but don't cry when the same privatised service increases admin costs massively (see US experience) which will be picked up by you the patient. There are problems in the NHS, largely due to mediocre management, political interference and underfunding. As a nation we invest less than the EU average in our health service.

Can someone post what the government is actually proposing in terms of actual facts and then I will consider, but I am not signing anything from a unionised mob of people that want to do their employment contracts by collective bargaining in 2015.https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/108782

Unionised bargaining is the only bargaining as doctors are not in a position to bargain themselves.

Sorry, but not a chance.
The whole edifice of the NHS needs root and branch reform.
They never stop 'reforming' the NHS, I think that is part of the problem. The NHS is far from perfect but in terms of value for money we do quite well compared to many other systems....... from what I can tell this contract is attempting to squeeze even more out of the people who prop up the NHS day to day. The whole edifice of the NHS needs root and branch reform.

I'm not sure I will get a unbiased set of facts from the BBC.Unionised bargaining is the only bargaining as doctors are not in a position to bargain themselves.
Why are they not allowed to negotiate individually? What about the ones that are not members of trade unions?

I do not know who is fibbing, but one side must be as the BMA allege more hours for less pay whilst the government say less hours for the same pay.
Which is it?
Have a guess, one lot save lives, the other lot fiddle their expenses...go on, give it a stab.Which is it?
This person is in charge of NHS.

I'm sure glad that there is money for 'as many studies as necessary into homeopathy'.
