Hollande expressed his support for the police.
I wonder if Cameron and May would have the 'gaul' to say such a thing is, gods forbid, the same should happen here. Windsor would be able to put his pretty frock on again when joining in the mourning.

A friend emailed this evening to say that Brussels isn't Brussels any longer as it feels like the goodness and heart has been ripped out. On the plus side they have their grandchildren all day as they aren't in school but they are all in fear of what could happen.
Where does this all end? These people are monsters.

They have won this round surely? just by the fact that the city has ground to a stand still has put them a goal up, they have changed the way of life there however temporary without any actual happening..
They've managed to get the USA and Russia on (nearly) the same side. That really doesn't look much like a win, long term. They have well and truly won this round, 130 killed in Paris, 224 killed in Egypt, Paris economy will have taken a hit, probably millions spent on extra security in Brussels and Paris, Brussels on semi shutdown, Egypt's tourism properly fked, Europe concerned over terrorists smuggled in during the migrant crisis, one the Paris terrorists is still on the run
To top it off they have been able to make people across Europe wonder 'where's next'

And Tunisia. Tourist industry destroyed in the space of a year. To top it off they have been able to make people across Europe wonder 'where's next'
I'm still a believer in the statistical unlikleyhood of me being killed by a terrorist as opposed to a driver on his/her mobile, but I wonder if this could be what leads to US style gun ownership.

It's funny how we always seem to find money to blow stuff up and get new shiny toys for politicians to posture with, but not to stop the local library or nursery closing.
I suppose the thinking goes that without spending on the military there's a risk that we wouldn't have a safe country in which to operate the generously funded library or nursery. It's a view not without merit.

This is footage I've found, presumably accurate-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoGAcgz9HOg
No sign of a parachute.
