I wasn't talking about Mrs Miggins blazing away at anything suspicious.

I'd envisage something more like a citizens militia where people who have undergone some vetting and training keep a weapon at home which they can use in certain circumstances.

That way you have a broader base of people who are able and equipped to respond to an emergency.
There are quite a few examples of you talking sense throughout this sub-forum.

This isn't one of them. Shocker of an idea, all round.

Invest in x-ray Machines and security companies. Very shortly London will be like Tel Aviv and Istanbul with airport style security at all shopping centres and hotel lobbies.

On the whole a murdering terrorist armed with an AK47, hell-bent on mass murder is unlikely to adhere to the queuing rules of xray machines.

That doesn't mean it's not still a sound investment! On the Monday after the Paris attack Raytheon, Northrup, Lockheed, Avav were all up 4%-6%

As I stated several replies ago, Of duty Police in Paris can now carry thier weapons. Not sure I would feel comfortable if I caught a glimpse of a weapon on someone who looked like a civvy.

Already happening.

I go to a lot of gigs and the Monday after Paris they had already installed airport style metal detectors.

Where was this ? London?

Nope in Bristol.

Just coincidence, they probably decided to get it for knife crime months ago and it's only just been installed.

Just a spot of clarification...WOT or WoT or W-o-T. Nice place either way.
