Interesting, not a single one shot down by the Greeks.

st. I idn't know that was going on. No wonder Turkey ran to NATO as fast as it could.
Bit like the nasty bull-tag-along who acts outside of the scope of the bully and then panics on his own.
I think the point is, there is obviously more to this than the numerous 'incursion into Turkish airspace' by the Russian airforce. NATO wants Assad out, whilst the Russians want to keep him in power. These extremists are a useful proxy force to further the ambitions of the USA in the region. This escalation will hopefully peter out and Russia will continue to do the fantastic job they're doing in destroying the extremists strongholds.

Footage of the 'shooting down' the russian chopper
History repeating itself?
IIRC the rebels are required to film every kill/destoryed target and return casing and keep detailed records.

It's analagous to shooting someone because they've taken a short cut across your front garden.
Poor analogy.Shooting someone because they have been in your front garden carrying massive weapons and have not heeded numerous warnings, and then you shoot them once with the minimum force you could/
Your scenario still doesn't justify killing a person over.

There's a video on Twitter of a helicopter being (claimed to be Russian) being destroyed with a US supplied TOW missile. That'll go down well. There's also a picture of a dead Russian pilot with multiple gunshot wounds.
The 'good' Syrian opposition showing their true colours.
It is worth bearing in mind that the Russians were bombing these people, so getting a friendly response was going to be a bit of a stretch. The 'good' Syrian opposition showing their true colours.

Might be worth rolling the tape back a bit and asking why the Russians were bombing this lot in the first place. Answer: because they're trying to reduce this conflict to a choice between Asad and ISIS by removing the other anti-Assad groups from the game. Russia would like the West to be left with a choice between Assad and ISIS.
All those on this thread saying Russia is doing a great job attacking ISIS are, I think, at risk of missing Russia's wider game. If they were just attacking ISIS that'd be great, but they aren't. If they were just attacking ISIS they wouldn't have lost this aircraft and its crew as they wouldn't have been bombing this group in the first place.

Have you all forgot what Russia is doing in Ukraine. You all seem to sympathise with the Russians like they are your best mates. Some proper ignorant fools on this thread. if anyone violated Russian airspace and were told to leave 10x what do you think would happen? No surprise there..
Putin is a dangerous man and volatile.
It's minor and will boil over. The Turks don't want to be messed around too and will not be afraid to show it, as they have done. Russian or not.

No one is disputing Putin`s temperament but Turkey wouldn`t have said boo to Russia had they not been part of NATO and had split loyalties on what's happening in their area. It's minor and will boil over. The Turks don't want to be messed around too and will not be afraid to show it, as they have done. Russian or not.
And for that reason I don`t trust them.
