I wonder if Turkey now regrets it.

Not exactly the worlds most lovely government either...
Probably, the thing is the pilot did not shoot down the plane, nor his commanding officer, the order came from the top, any regrets are false.
Indeed

it's one of those little acorns that gets scattered and then a huge oak tree nobody wants grows.

Lets hope they can cut it down.

Reading this thread, about graffiti on easyjet planes made me wonder, and following some clickbait I ended up looking at ISIS' latest propaganda magazine... (probably on a list now!)

It's reproduced on http://www.clarionproject.org which is some sort of anti extremism website.
I don't know anything about that site, who's behind it or their agenda, I just went for the ISIS recruitment mag.

Mildy NSFW but not too explicit.

After having a quick flick how anyone can thing they can be negotiated or reasoned with is ridiculous - on the basis that they don't want to live side by side, their clear stated aim is essentially to kill everyone else who doesn't submit.

I think anyone involved in the debate (like most of the MPs and experts getting air time at the moment) should read this themselves and justify their statements about the way ahead relative to this.

scratchchin unless this is not actually ISIS material and I've been manipulated by the illuminati

Sounds as if he should hold a free election and allow properly funded campaigns by opposition candidates without their being arrested coincidentally for corruption or shot.

But he won't do that.
I know many Russians as lot of them come here on holidays, majority of them despise him because of internal russian policy(huge corruption etc.) but forgive him as his foreign policy is what almost every Russian would lead anyway.

The dead pilots body has been recovered and will be handed over to Russian authorities. Very surprising as these rebels normally like to drag them behind cars or something equally horrible!

I would say that Turkey have probably gone to great lengths to sort that out, trying to put out the massive fire they may have started!

Idiots:

Turkey and European leaders have struck a deal to try to control the flow of migrants to Europe.

Turkey will receive €3bn (£2.1bn) and political concessions in return for clamping down on its borders and keeping refugees in the country.

Talks on Turkey's accession to the European Union will also be revived.

Well seeing that the knob who boasted about shooting at the parachuting pilot on TV was of Turkish decent, and seeing that Turkey arms these so called moderates who shout the same slogans as Isis and Alqaeeda in their videos, this is further proof that there are close links between the government in Turkey and these rebels, otherwise the body would have been burnt and never to be seen again. Turkey has done sod all to sort anything out, but they keep beating their skinny chest knowing full well they have NATO behind them if the $h1t hits the fan and the Russian bear decides enough is enough! Turkey is like Sid in the Ice Age!

Russia is ready to coordinate practical steps to block the Turkish-Syrian border in cooperation with Damascus, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Friday after talks with his Syrian counterpart. Lavrov recalled that French President Francois Hollande earlier voiced same proposal. If Russia, Syria, France block the border, many terrorists groups in Syria, such as ISIS and al Nusra, will be cut from the supplies through Turkey.

On Saturday, the Syrian army spokesman, Brigadier General Ali Mayhoub, said, the Turkey military fired a number of mortar shells toward Syrian army positions from the Mount Jebel Aqra area, which is on the Turkish side. Apparently, it isn’t an act of support of the ideas to block the border. According to Damascus Turkey has also increased weapon, ammunition and equipment shipments into Syria in exchange for oil and antiquities looted by ISIS.

The Syrian army and the National Defense Forces (NDF) and Hezbollah seized back the areas of al-Markashileh and Jab al-Ahmar in the Northern parts of Lattakia province on Saturday. The Syrian forces pushed back the militant groups and restored full security to al-Rahmalia and al-Khidr hills.

Two weeks ago, the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Mechanized Division and Hezbollah abruptly halted their large-scale offensive in southern Aleppo, stopping just short of the ICARDA Farms and the Idlib Governorate’s northern border.

Once the Syrian Armed Forces and Lebanese Resistance halted their large-scale offensive, the Islamist rebels from Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham, Harakat Nouriddeen Al-Zinki, Jaysh Al-Islam, Faylaq Al-Sham, Liwaa Suqour Al-Sham and the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” took the opportunity to launch a counter assault in order to recapture the strategic towns of Tal Al-‘Eiss and Al-Hadher; however, their success was limited to minimal gains at the Kafr Haddad front.

With the Islamist rebels unable to recover the strategic towns or Tal Al-‘Eiss and Al-Hadher, the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Mechanized Division returned from a short leave with a surprise for their enemies.

For the first time in this war, the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Mechanized Division has deployed their new T-90 Tanks to the southern Aleppo front in order to continue their push to the predominately Shi’i towns of Kafraya and Al-Fou’aa.

The T-90 Tank offers the Syrian Arab Army several features their T-55 and T-72 Tanks do not, including a 2A46M 125 smoothbore tank gun; a four-stroke V-12 piston engine; and most importantly, the Kontakt-5 ERA (explosive reactive armor).

Much of the success the Islamist rebels have experienced in northern Syria has come from their U.S. manufactured anti-tank TOW missile; however, with the Kontakt-5 ERA, the T-90 Tanks should be strong enough to endure the impact from the TOW missile.

I think an observer in space might be forgiven for thinking that the leaders of the vanity project actually hate the EU because not a whole lot else makes sense.

Russian Foreign Minister, Russia presented direct evidence of Turkey buying illegal oil from the black market supporting terrorists .

In a state of the nation speech, broadcast live on Russian television, he said that "if anyone thinks Russia's reaction will be limited to trade sanctions, they are deeply mistaken".

If its true, this is bad for Turkey and very bad for NATO.

What we have here is a NATO member being complicit in funding a terrorist organisation. A terrorist organisation that has killed an airliner full of Russians, and is presently fighting a leader that Russia are trying to keep in office.

And that's before we talk about Turkey's looking the other way attitude with regard to ISIS killing Kurds just over it's border.

They 'should' be thrown out of NATO for this, but it'll never happen, Turkey has too much strategic importance to the west for it to be lost - and Erdogan knows it. And that's why he's throwing his weight around at the minute.

Erdogan is leading a largely ignorant and unwitting population down a path to destruction and the sooner he is removed the better. Might be time for someone to feed him a polonium sandwich.

Strangely absent from the BBC and Sky news I watched last night?

Though they were very busy telling me how our one airstrike on an oil field will cripple IS's ability to raise funds anymore, go figure eh?

Not sure you're aware but "funding terrorist organisations" and "shooting down airliners" applies just as much to the US. Do you think they should be thrown out of NATO as well?

I do love the hypocrisy on PH....

Surely it's pretty obvious who's spending millions of dollars buying ISIS oil isn't it?

Or maybe they're distributing it with dodgy satnavs down the Dog and Duck

Seriously though who's buying it?
