I'm not a veggie by the way, but there is some amount of balls being spouted here by anti-veggies, almost all primates have long canine teeth, longer than ours relatively, and almost all of them eat way less meat, relatively, than us (and thiers is raw of course)
Of course he doesn't eat much meat, its fvcking raw. Show the fella how to use a bbq and I guarantee he'll want rib eye more often. turbobloke said:

I think eating meat will always be morally questionable...
???To vegetarians perhaps. The rest of us chow down as nature intended. We are omnivores.
Not something I've researched. Yes, I'm aware of google.

Didn't really early humans start on veggies and then once they developed tools then go to meat.
No. Eating meat (fish specifically) in East Africa about two million years ago is the change that allowed us to grow our brains and become humans. Remember - we can still eat all flesh raw but we have to cook quite a lot of vegetables. Some are indigestible or poisonous to us even then. We may be omnivores by choice or necessity, but we have the digestive system of a carnivore. Those researching the diet of primitive tribes (from what records we made between meeting them and killing them*) found that none of them were exclusively vegetarian by choice. But facts matter little to some.
* Try Taubes or Atkins; they both came to similar conclusions from the same sets of data.

...but we have the digestive system of a carnivore. You'd be better off just saying you enjoy it... there's so much misinformation and rubbish being pedaled here; from both sides I suppose.
