Some are hard to believe, but I guess it's an average of the profession.

I need to ask myself for a pay rise I fear!

Barristers are often self employed so presumably that is declared income and the rest they siphon via dividends and other tax minimising methods.

And yet the BBC says the median for a law graduate this year was £37,000:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-34186954

So a 21 year old in law starts at £37k, whereas a judge is also so £37k - really on both figure ?

Looks like bks to me.

Legal professionals - £76,434. Think someone cut and paste without checking from a spreadsheet.

Also what is the difference between 'Financial managers and directors' and 'Financial institution managers and directors'?

I'd agree. It says the average for chartered accountants is about £40k. My firm pays more that that to our newly qualifieds so it seems very low as an average.

AFAIK They can't pull any of those little scams. For obvious reasons they have to be much straighter than most. That said that number is obviously complete BS except maybe for the junior criminal bar.

38 out of 352 is not bad I guess although I wouldn't get out of bed for this but it is an average so from graduate level right up to those of us with 25+ years experience.

38 Electronics engineers £43,892 4.60%

Just ahead of a Police Constable but considerably better off than a barrister or judge.

That list is absolute bobbins.

Be fair, it's a very difficult job. How they keep those trains and trams on those rails amazes me. And they never take a wrong turning either !

To be fair there is a bit more to know than just that.

For instance they all need to know when to go on strike.
