Indeed, shame and honour two side of quite a sharp cultural tool that strike at the heart of a lot of human sociological behaviour and probably quite a lot of our evolutionary biology... The thing is in the west it's largely been misappropriated or at least being invoked incorrectly. Jon Ronson wrote a right good book about it...

yep he's an insightful guy but not sure the stuff he focuses on is entirely the same as here and anyway there is also the continuing and great harm in 'respecting' obesity https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/So_You've_Been_Publi...

She's on a winter bulk. She's going to look amazing come competition season.
The lady on the left appears to have an extra arm growing from her hip. How very novel chris watton said:

Handing out cards is a nasty move for sure, but you think they'd have saved it up for someone who is proper big. I regularly see women twice her size in my quiet west country town.
Who knows, if handed to a real obese person it might just be that final push which leads them to lose weight and be healthy... or top themselves. Can never tell with some people.

While I completely understand there are often mental health issues around being over weight and that it can be hard enough work to over come those, never mind get fit, I am constantly amazed by the sheer weight of excuses for being fat.
The woman in question is fat and she is fat because she eats too much (almost certainly comfort food) and doesn't move about enough. She might be considered normal, but that is more of a reflection of the amount of blubber most people are carrying now. She isn't curvy, Davina McCall is curvy, as is Ola Jordan, this woman is fat.
For the record, this was my MOT I had in Feb:
BMI 21.03.
Blood pressure 121/73.
Pulse 58
Waist circ 75cm (that's why my trousers keep falling down)
Total Cholesterol HDL 3.52

Hardly the end of the world though. A waste of police time.
Has a crime been committed?Section 5 of the Public Order Act 1986 creates an offence of being threatening or abusive in a way which is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
5(1) A person is guilty of an offence if he -
(a) uses threatening or abusive words or behaviour, or disorderly behaviour, or
(b) displays any writing, sign or other visible representation which is threatening or abusive,
within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress thereby.
(b) covers it perfectly. The offenders are liable to fines of up to £1000. Per identified victim

Well... What can I say, other than I think the Daily Mail Online is possibly the work of Beelzebub himself. That is 'curvy' - in the sidebar of shame on the original article.
