This is a link to a recording the first 15mins of the police frequency as the first reports are received.

Everywhere else is saying it's the "Inland Regional Centre" and is some sort of autism charity or institute.
Exactly as ever conflicting reports.

Owing the frequency of these events in the US, perhaps rather than using "again" in the thread title, the date should be added instead. This may save a little confusion.

Mericas solution is obvious. The public should be able to carry automatic weapons, then this would never happen

It's the case though that these things never happen in the places where people ARE legally carrying firearms.

Apart, that is, from the case recently when a pair of terrorists attacked a group of armed people protesting for their right to draw cartoons of one of the Sky Fairies. Under the protected right to free speech. That worked out slightly differently.

5x population = 5x headlines
5x the population - but 71x the firearm related death rate (3.55 vs 0.05 per 100,000).
Indeed. The 5x doesn't really work since we don't have 1/5th of such headlines.
We'll disagree on that one.
Are you saying we have 20% the headlines as the US does on this subject matter?

Atleast 14 dead, wont change anything though except an increase in firearms sales

Absolutely awful.

What can you do though? There are so many guns in the US that it would be impossible to enforce any kind of control. They're fked

Funny you should say that, I recently realised that I don't care any more about things I can't control..wars/ killings/ terrorism / corruption / world politics etc. I have accepted that these things are not going to get any better in my lifetime so what is the point of getting upset.

Cannot argue with that.

What on earth was the meeting about, reports saying that one man was in the meeting, got angry about something, left then returned with 2 mates and started shooting.

2 dead suspects now too. One male, one female. Both dressed in combat gear and with 'assault rifles' and pistols.

Seems a Muslim dude went to a Christmas party, started arguing with the attendees about religion then went home, picked up his family member, went back and started killing people.

The equipment used and the fact that others went back with him makes this look relatively pre-planned.

Let's see how this is spun so as not to be considered Islamic terrorism.
