Jeremy Corbyn fills public meetings. In fact the similarities are obvious, a loud and passionate fan base sick of non authentic politics convinced that their echo chamber is a majority, reviled by some and ignored by everyone else.
no, he does'nt.

he turns up at union or CMD events, they would already be crowds there (full of militant tendency momentum nutjobs).

(it's not like his presence is ever announced, he usually just flaunts in late)

And Carswell is irrelevant

Oh dear, it looks like one of the toddlers wont play nicely at the nursery...
You're just upset because Nigel has got what he has spent all of his political life fighting for. A referendum.

This June, we will vote to leave the EU, and Nigel will have triumphed.
but most of you were telling us before the election that Cameron was lying and the referendum would never happen.

We also said that he was lying when he said that he would negotiate a better deal for us.

Do you believe that he has negotiated a good deal?

I think our referendum owes rather more to pressures from a small number of foreign/non-dom media billionaires than it does to Nigel.

Primarily Richard Desmond. Although he's not non dom I don't think.

The Barclay Brothers, I wouldn't like to question their tax affairs on this forum, other than to say they're most likely complicated.

Rupert Murdoch - I don't know his personal opinion on a Brexit - as he's not British I doubt he gives two fks, but The Sun has been stoking the anti EU fire for 25 years, probably only because they know it appeals to their readership though.

You could possibly add the current Lord Rothermore to the list, for while privately he's apparently 'pro-EU', his newspaper is anything but.

And just to add, what's the betting Dave is now wishing he'd never called a referendum! laugh

Prime Ministers always have to do things they'd prefer not to do.

I'll be glad when CMD has gone and I voted for him!

A weak, weak, weak leader, who, in my opinion has done nothing for us in negotiating with the clowns of the EU, thankfully Farage has been a constant thorn in the EU's side and I too hope he triumphs when we vote out of the corrupt club, however noble its original intentions.

This bicycle has more seats than UKIP...

...but it has fewer squeaky wheels.

TBH It's been coming for a while. I recall Farage saying that Carswell hasn't done anything on behalf of UKIP since he defected. That he wasn't a real ukipper

It had all the hallmarks of attention seeking, and this latest stunt proves it.

I don't understand WHY UKIP cant get decent candidates though. They have support, surely they can find someone with no real issues

From the original OP's BBC Link of this thread Dec 2015

Nigel Farage must be wondering if he's more trouble than it's worth........He has muttered about Mr Carswell's alleged "residual loyalty" to his Conservative friends......."
