It really isn't. The vast majority of people I went to Mosque with have grown out of it. The level of "commitment" ranges from "devout believer" to "attends mosque only on Eid and sit at the back playing angry birds"PRTVR said:

As above, there is a spectrum, and some are more "visible" than others. I can guarantee that I will see far more "muslim" men/women wearing western clothes than dressed in religious gear such as Burqas. Where did I say it couldn't be a Muslim police officer? I only said they should be British.
