Don't be upset with me because I answered your question with an idea.
Where did I say it couldn't be a Muslim police officer? I only said they should be [quote]
I'd imagine there are BRITISH (if thats what's important to you,) police officers at a number of mosques in the UK. Hopefully that make you feel better.

Have you ever considered that it might be you who is out of touch with society at large?
Breaking news Winston: A small sub section of a motoring forum is not 'society at large'. It isn't even close.PRTVR said:
If this is so why are mosque numbers increasing ? the clothing thing why would somebody wear such clothing in a society that did not demand it? as for the Burqas it was my understanding that even that was not religious, but something started in Saudi in the 70s that appears a way for men to control women.
Attendance in the UK Iincreasing? That really does surprise me. I wonder if that's raw numbers or attendance as a percentage of the Muslim population.Re: Burqas/Saudis, it wouldn't surprise me. However the very few Muslim women I know who wear anything approximating the burka do so out of choice. Obviously I can't speak for all of them but I remember from my time at Uni, a lot of it was a "fashion " statement. Anyhoo personally I find the things abominable but I'm kind of reluctant to start dictating what people can and can't wear.
Re "controlling" women - I can't even make my wife fill her car with petrol. She refuses. I have no idea why.....

Why on earth would anyone want the police to be stationed in mosques??
What we need is a cultural shift to ensure that Finsbury Park cannot happen again.
eg. Mad bloke preaches evil, of 1000 daily attendees - not one person grasses him up.
We need to get to a stage where 1000 attendees tell hate preacher "#Youaintnomuslimbruv"... and get lost.

No- one will deny there are plenty of radical preachers /imams out there. Some from Saudi Arabia.
Since mosques have nothing to hide and only peaceful messages to convey, surely they would be delighted if every religious institution was required to have 24/7 Cctv.
Win-win, for Cctv may well influence behaviour
And each day there are more mosques, not less. And that trend will not stop any time soon.

Presumably you're a law abiding citizen? Any objections to 24/7 CCTV at your house, car, work place? Just in case. No- one will deny there are plenty of radical preachers /imams out there. Some from Saudi Arabia.

Would you bet against a 10% Muslim population in the UK?

That would work because normal every day Muslims don't do normal every day jobs like being a policeman or woman.
You could of course just put some narrow minded Brit in there instead. Not like we are short of those is it.

When I arrived here, the BBC regularily broadcast jokes about thick paddies on their Saturday night comedy shows.
The truth is that I have never really experienced real discrimination. This country has been really good to me.
I came from a poor country where I would not have earned very much. Now, I have nice cars, and nice holidays. I'm not a billionaire by any standards, but this country has been very good to me.
How has the UK treated you?

They are in the Mosque's week in, week out.
What is needed is that the Muslim community recognise that there is a problem ( and with increased immigration from cultures that are less enlightened than Indonesia ) it is an ongoing problem... and needs to have an ongoing education that the norms that those people knew... is just not acceptable.

In fact, you seem to have a problem with the English.
