bsolutely. We should be able to behead 10 year olds who burgle under duress. Oh, not such a great generalisation.
WARNING! WARNING!Stupid strawman argument Allert!
For somebody that proposes to be a PC, you really do worry me with your catastorpically flawed powers of debate.

as usual, you are completely wrong.
My point is why does it need a 'planned operation' with multiple PC Plods for X days to go visit a 71 year old man and confiscate any alleged firearm(s)?
Hell, we are always being told about limited police resources and how nobody is available etc etc.
Because its a firearms job, how would you do it?My point is why does it need a 'planned operation' with multiple PC Plods for X days to go visit a 71 year old man and confiscate any alleged firearm(s)?

Unless you just want to send a PCSO and hope he comes quietly.....

A strawman is arguing against something that wasn't proposed. Stupid strawman argument Allert!

When someone writes, "We need a law that says we can use any and all force against someone who breaks into our houses", then the scenario I provided falls within that scope (I assume you can comprehend what 'any and all' means). Therefore I am arguing against what was proposed through the example I provided.
Try again

ok let's go with another straw man said 10 year old Berkeley breaks into your house and confront you is armed with handgun what do you do next?
I didn't think you'd have an answer to my reply. The above completely irrelevant to me proposing the suggestion of such a wide-reaching law was unworkable.
The answer is simple; it's to use the force the law allows in the circumstances.

He wasn't even at the farm - he was in Wisbech.....
It matters not where he was as it still takes a firearms command structure, firearms teams and search teams to do the job. Be interesting to see if they find nothing and when he said he had another weapon in his interview he was bullstting.
Maybe you could handle that press interview?

It'd be a generic media statement. Not a 'press interview'. Simple, easy stuff. Maybe you could handle that press interview?
'A 71 year old man was arrested for a firearms offence. No firearm was located and no further action will be taken against him', or similar.
Willhire89 said:
Of course that wasn't what you said .....you intimated it needed the infrastructure to make the arrest.

Incorrect as they still require the same resources for the arrest regardless of where it took place. Be interesting to see if they find nothing and when he said he had another weapon in his interview he was bullstting.
Maybe you could handle that press interview?

It still takes a firearms command structure, firearms teams and search teams to.....
...arrest a 71 y/old man in a local town.
