Having met an old mate today who has had a a six figure sum in cash stolen by while he was held at sledgehammer point on his bed (I doubt he will ever get over it) as far as I'm concerned the real world of crime needs real defence. No they weren't kids and they dressed as police. Staggering.
He keeps six figure sums, in cash, in his home.

Hmm. Just hmm.

Not that I'm aware of, it was last August since when he's had a breakdown and a suicide attempt. Plod haven't put effort into it and makes me wonder how much of this gets swept under the carpet. Can't go into detail but there weren't many that knew he had the cash and he's the sort that drives a battered polo so you wouldn't guess.
Aggravated burglaries have the highest detection rate of any burglaries. There were 1337 in 2013 with just over 1 in 3 detected / solved.

Correct, and shaves his legs because the carpet has fleas. Get the idea? He doesn't have a conventional life but there are plenty of people like that.

Call me cynical, but on the face of it I'd say that either you and/or your mate is full of...er...crepe.

£100K+ in cash stolen by a gang posing as police officers armed with sledge-hammers, the police (the real ones) haven't put any effort into the case. and not a peep in the media?

I'm calling custard on this one.

Sadly all true but I'm not going into more detail as its out of people's comfort zone, but as the bib will tell you there are people out there who don't conform to the 3 bed semi with gas ch, income tax and a roast on Sunday that some regard as being the only lifestyle beyond which it gets scary.

You've been warned about coming on these threads with facts and stuff. I mean, it's not as if anyone takes any notice.

So how would having a firearm have helped in this situation?

Isn't his land worth millions? He could flog it and live in the Ritz for the rest of his life but he choses to sleep in an old car, fair play to him. He's old school and likes to shoot the odd burglar with a pump action.

If he wasn't hatstand he'd be prime minister by now.

You guys can argue it to the cows come home, he shot a burglar (the pump action was the mistake) and did some bird, less than he legally should have done so happy days

Well, presumably the imaginary fake coppers with the imaginary sledgehammers could then have seized the imaginary firearm from the imaginary victim, and then threatened him with his own imaginary gun to more efficiently steal the imaginary victim's large pile of imaginary money?

If the point was " you're a lying dick who likes to pretend he inhabits a shady demi-monde of edgy geezers, but who doesn't have the imagination to carry the lie further than a story that ends with a rich bloke driving a Polo who shaves his legs", then yes, the point has been proved. Right there.

In that case you're a narrow minded censored and on a number of levels a total censored
What I have said is fact. Simple. Either take it in board or censored off back to play with your train set.
