no, it isn't

most people don't go around burning down houses of people they don't want living nearby, throwing stones at them, attacking them in the street, spraying hateful graffiti

it's not inevitable, and the people doing it are scum that need to be jailed, they've no interest in rational debate

Rational debate? Are you that naive? There isn't any debate.

This is what happens when people's concerns are ignored. Frustration turns into violence.

Easy to call people scum from a distance.

You don't need most people to do it, that's the problem, you just need to allow a situation to run, un-managed, until a few deranged lunatics feel suitably miffed. That's the thing, you can apply whatever logic and political correctness you like, but you can't argue with fact; it's happened and it hadn't before.

Do you think 'most' people in the UK support EDL? I doubt it very much, but the reason they get so much as a mention is because the situation has been unbelievably badly managed. This is not the same as saying this views are correct, but rather that they are inevitable.

This is, regrettably, what happens when ... rational debate is suppressed.

how very liberal of you, did you think the same during the London riots etc?

I'll call these people scum from whatever distance you like, burning down a hostel, abusing women and kids

Rational Debate;

Do you want 1 million mainly Muslims refugees in your country ?

Oh sorry we forgot to ask / offer that rational debate ........

I am not sure you can have rational debate now, this debate should have been done before.

No wish to engage in nitpicking but I would say the EU is more of a "confederation" at the moment however I do realise that Germany wants to move to a fully federal EU i.e. A federation, with a central government controlling foreign and security policy, currency and the army.......not quite there yet.

No doubt Germany will still be the dominant State but thankfully we, the UK, won't be part of it....be careful what you wish for I would say.

There was no root cause there, just scum rioting and looting, you make a sever mistake conflating the two issues, other than the fact that - as you rightly point out - mob rule should not be allowed to take hold.

I see..in that case enjoy your enlargement and becoming a federal state within a federal state..... sounds more like something out of an Ian Fleming book to me.

Well who would have predicted that?

Looks like Merkel's CDU are behind AfD in her home state.
Lots of people who live in Germany. Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is full of white supremacist types.
and yet the uncomfortable truth is that the AfD has seats in 10/16 Länder

as interesting as this comment by a Turk:

"... my religion is Islam. But...
to walk into a beer garden as a Muslim and fully veiled (Burka) - I'd also find that pretty weird!
You shouldn't enter a social place where alcohol is being consumed!
That's just not on."

Planned?

Blatantly!
