Continually sending troops over to use up munitions getting towards their "sell by" doesn't appear to have been a very successful tactic. Perhaps trying something different might not be a bad idea?

I would tend to agree - the question is though, how many German combat troops are out there and have been out there over the last 60 odd years?

Guilt over the wars, so ruin your own country? A somewhat backwards idea don't you think?

Who could blame her? Anyone with more than half a brain perhaps?

Stop supporting "the Empire" ?? Are you literally away with the fairies? On the moon perhaps? In some alternate Star Wars universe? You think stopping sending troops places would stop anything now?

Surely nobody is a stupid as you are trying to come across?
Depends on the perspective and intellectual capacity of the reader, I suppose.

I'd say she knew about it, but that might be too obvious, no? I suspect her guilt over supporting the wars of empire in the Middle East and a sense of humanity compelled her to open our doors -- and in some ways, who could blame her?

A better solution would be to stop supporting the Empire in its Middle Eastern adventures.

Oh yes a change of foreign policy would likely be a good idea although still has its pros and cons, but just saying "right, full withdrawal now" wont solve anything. The poor are still fleeing and the scum will still be suicide bombing whatever happens.

No need to be so down on yourself. I'm sure that even the most intellectually challenged such as yourself can see the amount of damage this is causing to Germany and Europe. Damage that could end up irreversable.

Has Germany got housing, schooling, transport etc ready to go for the recent 1million migrants? Or is it just heaped on the general population to deal with? Is Germany ready for another 1million strong wave? It has started in tears and it will end in far more tears due to a stupid series of decisions by a stupid woman.

I simply stated it would be interesting to see if things have changed and if so to what degree. Be as precious as you like with your 'right on' viewpoints but please get off your high-horse and wind your neck in - oh in to return the favour of insults where none are necessary... do fk off you irritating knob.
Might be up your alley.

I'm assuming that you were the mentally ill person tied to the tree? TBH I'm really sorry that that happened to you, it is disgraceful and I hope that they catch the perpetrators but in the meantime I hope that you recover from your ordeal.
I have no idea what the argument is about, but I found that a very funny putdown whether deserved or not.

I will wait until after the referendum. Even canned goods have a shelf life.

5.5k in Afghan? I believe they sent a chunk to Kosovo.

Obviously (bearing in mind still relatively recent history) not a massive amount...but they get involved.

Oh I know that they had troops in Afghanistan (thought that they were logistics & support rather than combat), Kosovo was actually helping out the beleaguered Muslims IIRC so that's a humanitarian tick anyway. It was the ME I was specifically asking about WRT Ferkel's open invite to everyone south of Istanbul

Mate travelling through Germany just sent me this.

http://www.thelocal.de/20160603/dsseldorf-terror-p...

So 21 of 37 sought terrorist offences gone missing, and how many have come in under seeking asylum? 120 of 180 have proceedings commenced against them for taking part in Syria war.

Not much reporting in the UK...
