Quote for extending bmw warrenty

It increases significantly past 60k in milage. This becomes an issue if you renew once a year, as if you opt the monthly option the premium does not appear to increase once you breach the 60k marker.
Taking the monthly option to avoid the hefty rise once 60k has been broken doesn't work anymore, BMW changed the Ts&Cs a year or 2 agoThis just tells us how much faith BMW has in its own products, not at lot after only 60k miles it seems.
I believe they won't risk covering their own cars at all, for any price, once they hit 100k. Or maybe this is just M cars.
5.0 litre ISF for less than 500/yr which stays the same price regardless of miles (upto 140k) or a 330i at 1100/yr after 60k, up from 400 ish before?
What are BMW trying to tell us, either our cars fall apart after 60k miles or lets price this really high and hope they buy a new one instead.

If it was £400 I would have bit there hand off, £500 I would think about it and reluctantly paid it but this is a bit of a piss take.
The cars is in for its mot and service next week, I've also brought up an issue with my door( the lock was stuck so when I closed the door it sounded like it hit the seat belt buckle, took a fair few attempts at unlocking and locking just to close the door) also rust above one of the door frames.
I like the car but I fear over the next week the shine may be taken off owning it.
And stop talking about the isf, I've been reading the thread in general gassing and now the comments here plus fuel prices are tempting me
Edit to add to the coment from smashy, they do offer different types of cover, I think the cheapest was just for engine, drive train and trans mission for just under £500. Knowing my luck the bits on the car that gone wrong won't be covered by that.

That's far too much.
Most people are paying under £400 per year or paid monthly at £40. 60,000 miles is the cut off point to start the warranty on reduced terms, but that price is far too much.
When was the last time your car was in a dealer? Will they know you've gone over 60,000 miles?
Get another quote and try at 59,000 miles and hope the car doesn't instantly breakdown.

There's a decent thread on e90post with some good examples. But for what it's worth, my E92 330d (2011) costs £35 per month, comprehensive cover, £100 excess - I'm on 65k now, just renewed and it stayed the same for me.
Why is that so much cheaper than the OPs quote?Sheepshanks said:

Why is that so much cheaper than the OPs quote?A lot of guys have taken it out and kept their car for years.
It didn't really work out value for me on my 335i as I paid more in than I got out over the years. When I did use the service it really was spot on. They handled a roadside breakdown very well.

Don't they even review it annually?A lot of guys have taken it out and kept their car for years.

Like all insurance, you're really buying peace-of-mind.Sheepshanks said:

Like all insurance, you're really buying peace-of-mind.I was just emphasising that BMW ownership isn't all doom and gloom like people are pointing out. They'll never win reliability of the year awards, but if you look at similar other extended warranties, the pricing is usually less than other similar cars.
Although the N54 335i comes with the worst reputation, surprisingly that has often got the cheapest of warranties.
2007 130i, 123k miles.
I'm still paying the same (£47/month, £0 excess with emergency service) as I did when I took out the warranty in 2011 @ 57k miles.
As others have said, set up to pay monthly before 60k miles and it's good value. I've only used it three times (DSC unit, Xenon issues and replacement horn) but I reckon it's paid for itself as it took dealership about a week in total to sort the lights.
ETA - always had great service with no quibbles about doing work under warranty and a decent courtesy car for however long it was in.
