In terms of the general election, at one point there was a 6% - 94% position with 94% on a hung parliament and those odds were overturned by the electorate. Indeed according to the quote below, some experts gave the position as 0% - 100% and still got it wrong. Just sayin'

Punters were piling into a Tory majority at 10/1 on the day, when we thought it had no chance and some political scientists put it at exactly a zero percent possibility.

Aside from looking at global trade, rather than a Euro-centric view of trade, a lot of Brexiters would like to see the right sort immigration - skills and requirements based - irrespective of colour or nationality. At the moment, that simply is not able to happen because of quotas.
We are getting the immigration we need, ironically most of it is labour that doesn't require skill because it's the low paid jobs British people won't do. Maybe British people would do them if they were less featherbedded by benefits and there were less immigrants?
Whatever, it's a diversion from the main issue of the disastrous track record of the EU in general and it's equally damaging plans for the future.

Are we really ? In the NHS and the education system ? I guess that somewhere there will be an optimal ratio of doctors/nurses/teachers to population (other of course than always needing more). Anyone know a) where we are currently wrt such ratios and b) whether immigration improves those ratios or not ?Einion Yrth said:

interesting looking debate in BBC1 now
Omg, this is appalling
Since I avoid the BBC these days, with respect for my hypertension; how is it appalling?Omg, this is appalling

All questions from the students focused on 'will I get a job post brexit?' 'NHS post Brexit' and of course immigration, which factored into the first two. Absolutely no mention of democracy and the ability, or not, to vote out those who propose new laws.
I may well be biased but I perceived the usual BBC pro EU bias.

The age of the audience appears young not many over forty in the audience, how is that representative?
It was specifically showcased as a younger audience; 18-25Careful you don't tune in half way through, assume it to be a huge Remainain propaganda creature-feature, and then make a minor bell-end of yourself belly-aching about it on PH......
