The age of the invidual and the fact it appears she may not have won any awards throws doubt as to whether Elam's sources are to be believed.

Who?

Anyway its gone beyond the identity of one vaguely famous actress. If the prosecution can be found to have manipulated the evidence on this one, then surely the pooh should be hitting the rotating device big time.

Smiler.

I thought comments on PH could be heartless and lacking reason, but youtube is just a cesspit of illogical hatred.

What I don't understand is presumably there were reporters in court who could report the evidence - so what's the mystery over what we may not be "getting" about the case?

Never heard of her.

Has anyone updated her Wikipedia website to say she is well known for being in her 60's, doing Yoga, an award winning actor, theatre and radio work, and travels using Waterloo station?

Surely that's not naming her?

Can Wikipedia updates be traced......

What exactly is a 'fundamental tenant of English justice'? Dickens' Mr Bumble described the eye of the law as a bachelor but I've never heard justice described as a landlord.
I believe a singular noun requires an extra 's' even when it ends in an 's'. It should be, "Dickins's Mr Bumble".
No it shouldn't.

Put the shovel down.

If it is the woman who has been named on the web, then her accusation that he 'clocked her' is just another ridiculous aspect of this case.

Never heard of her.

Not that simple. It's English, it never is.

The person in charge. Whether she is common purpose or not is pure speculation...

Interestingly, if you ask google if she is a graduate of CP it links to a FOI request that says that yes she was and then says no she wasn't....

Interesting. scratchchin

The CPS would surely have had to have handed over unaltered CCTV as aprt of the disclosure process. the defence should have complained to the court (which they may have done) - they shouldn't have had to hire an expert to put ti back to the right speed.

dont see a problem with the CPS providing alternate speeds if it helps or doesn;t help the case as long as the original is there.

Yes it is! Daily Writing Tips? That's a Maeve Maddox site, ie: American!

Really need to know, you use the gospel, the bible, 'the' authoritative reference (well, it used to be once upon a time).

To be brutally honest, today, there are no (Hart's) rules, it's becoming a rarity to find someone who can string a sentence together properly, let alone argue right or wrong about a possessive case. In fact, like almost everything else these days, just about anything goes.

And it very usually does!

Back on topic. wink

Never heard of her but she should be prosecuted and exposed in the media for such a blatant false allegation. Justice system looking very suspect over this one.

They should get her checked over by a psychiatrist as I suspect she may have developed a severe mental illness, if she hasn't then I just don't know what to make of her, bizarre doesn't quite cover it.

Why can't she be named in the media, what do they risk by naming her?

Quite so.

If she has so little regard for the law that she willing to make false accusations, she shouldn't be able to hide behind it to preserve her anonymity.
