Kitchen mixer tap - help please.
Discussion
The small plastic "flow straightener" bit on my kitchen tap gave up this morning and shot off the end and in to the sink!
Does anybody know if they are available as a spare part?
I don't want to replace the whole tap as it perfectly OK otherwise.
I'm not actually sure what they are called to be honest and a quick Google search proved unsuccessful.
I took these pics if it helps.......
Thanks.

I was just looking this up myself today, result......I've a tap similar to the ops and the finish has become a little tarnished. Not sure if the wife has cleaned it with something and it has reacted but any idea how to properly clean such a tap.

Yep; they are. They're available in different sizes, threads and materials. When ours went, I went to the local plumbers' merchant with the dead one and he had a selection to choose from. B&Q, etc probably sell as well but merchant was easier for choice.
Have used this firm before

Should find something on there that'll do the job

You can get them for free from various utility companies as they reduce water usage. This is the 1st on that came up in a search.
