Turkey mince vs Chicken mince
Discussion
What don't you like? The taste or texture? I've found that Turkey mince is quite good at taking on the flavour of the sauce if you cook it for longer and let the sauce penetrate the meat. However it requires some work to divide the mince as from the container it sticks together too much.

The taste. Turkey mince has a strange earthy taste to me.RobbieTheTruth said:

Seriously, if its on health grounds use Quorn mince.
/never thought I'd ever say that
Is Quorn healthy? I've always considered it like an artificial sweetener - lower in calories but not really it for consumption. Maybe I'm being unfair./never thought I'd ever say that
My personal opinion is that we should eat natural food without additives or processing.
The last thing I would want to eat, personally, is Quorn. Maybe tofu as an alternative?
What's wrong with whole chicken breast? I do a lot with special diets for kids.
Happy to help if I can.
I do a like a recipe called turkey balls.
What you do is take the mince and add whatever spice of flavour combo you want. Like chilli's, ginger garlic etc. Now you combine with grated water chestnut, which adds texture and crunch.
Now fry and boil off the balls, using egg yolk to hold together.
They taste great and can be used with oyster sauce for Chinese style or add a garlic and chilli and add as replacement for meatballs in tomato sauce.
