Just watching Brexit: A Very British Coup? on BBC 2

It's actually very, very good!
Its interesting looking back.

Everytime Farage or Banks are on the screen I now just think "racist".

Andrew Neil was the speaker at a conference I was at last week. His predictions on the outcome of following days EU summit was absolutely spot on. He is incredibly astute.

He is question about the 2nd Lib Dem referendum is absolutely right, and highlights how daft the idea of telling the EU we're going to hold a 2nd referendum before starting negotiations.

I'm one of the accepting 40% now.

Hesseltine nails it. It really was a tragic victory for bigotry.

Do you have any reason and evidence to support your association of Farage/Banks and "racist", or is it just your bigotry showing?

I was delighted to note the generally conservative denizens of Sutton Coldfield giving a hard time to a) the Remainers in the IN/OUT debate at the Town Hall, as shown in A Very British Coup, and b) the lefties in the panel and audience on QT last night.

Did anyone else notice Sutton's very own caricatured Corbynite commie (below) on QT? "You don't know Corbyn's views on diarmament!" he opined to Kendall. Well Mr Chomski, he's made hundreds of public statements on the subject and is a member of CND. And yes, you utter muppet, we know he gave MPs a free vote and we also know why; simply because he knew there would be a rebellion in the PLP.

Honestly, where in the name of Jesus H Christ editting the Socialist Worker do they get these krayzee people?

Really? I doubt it.
Not all of them of course.

But there are a number of brexiteers here willing to throw around the insults at the drop of a hat.

It might just be those of a more bigoted persuasion. That's the impression given.
TBH I see at least as much sneering and nastiness from the remain side ('stupid', 'racists', 'ignorant' etc etc) let alone being unwilling to accept that they remain side lost

Just watched the taped version of last night, cant watch it live as I'll throw something at the telly.
I really really wanted someone to point out that the reason the 2 dipsticks on the outsides of the forum bench don't have many MP's, is due to the crap they spout on forums like QT...

Agreed. A sure way of guaranteeing a poor nights sleep is to watch this live.

The only panelists that talked any sense were Mogg and Brewer.

I see no point whatsoever in having Emily Thornberry on any sort of panel, when she can and will cry 'sexism' to close down a line of discussion she either doesn't like or doesn't have the intelligence to explore.
