Can't see why there should be more runways at LHR.
+1If you want the North and West of UK to remain relatively poor and the SE region
to prosper, by all means build more infrastructure in SE region.
Interesting to note that the M4 and M25 are already some of the most
over-congested roads in Europe and I suspect that the Heathrow proposal
will make a bad situation even worse.
Back on topic, Greg Clark seemed to spend a lot of time saying very little at all.
While that's certainly a useful skill in the House of Commons, he does himself
no favours doing that in front of the British Public. Even DD, the host, mentioned
that he was being dull.

I agree with the above. I can understand the tourist bit, (wanting to fly in/out London), BUT theres a heck of a lot of us that find driving/train etc up to London a PITA, and feckin expensive.
Bristol airport would be ideal for us in the west country and SW Brumland. Luton/Stansted for the madhaters in east Anglia. Madchester or east Mids for others in the central nth. And then for the far north/south jockland somewhere near Glasgy/Edin/Geordieland.
Jesus H Christ please do not invest anymore money in Bristol. It's actually not a bad airport, especially with the new lounge but it is the middle of absolute butt-fk no where and has the worst transport links ever. No major road or rail links. Exeter Airport is a bit of a stehole at the moment but it's in a bang in spot for transport links.Bristol airport would be ideal for us in the west country and SW Brumland. They had one in Scotland a few weeks ago. However, that was before I noticed the Leave bias in the audience.
The BBC admit that they screen the audience to ensure that they are representative of the general public. If the QT audience is "representative" then 75% of the public voted Leave.
Thursdays edition of Question Time was from Hartlepool, where 69.5% voted LeaveThe BBC admit that they screen the audience to ensure that they are representative of the general public. If the QT audience is "representative" then 75% of the public voted Leave.
It'll be interesting if the balance of leave and remain supporters in the audience in any way reflects this.

Who's the bint with the stupid name?
Perhaps he has a new album coming out; Ken Loach only got on the panel because he had a film to hawk tickets for. The journo works for the Economist, so if she follows the ethos of her employer she'll be a neo-con remainer who will sing the praises of the just signed CETA.Who's the bint with the stupid name?
