So the parents at his school are illegal jobless immigrants are they?

All of them?

He certainly talked about them as if he'd just trodden in them, but you never know, they might even be nice people with jobs.

I'm sure the school & its community will be much more cohesive in the morning after his little rant.

I wonder how much of your opinion is influenced by him being a white male, with a bald head and a Northern accent?

My opinion of him is based entirely on how he said he didn't like foreign parents speaking in a foreign language.
And he said nothing before and nothing after, that was the whole context?

My first reply to you was referencing that you heard something different to what was said. You've done it again in reading my posts.

Can I suggest you slow down and try and understand what other people are actually saying.

To answer your question, I do have a problem if a teacher cannot do their job to a satisfactory level due to being unable to communicate with some children in their class.

I'm assuming you are going to misread the above and just call me racist.
He made it clear that the kids spoke in English, and were integrated.

He was clear that he was wound up by the parents speaking to each other in their own language.

Would that wind you up?

Hahaha, jesus wept!!

You've flipped. You have well and truly lost it.
Specialist subject for ///ajd, get him ranting about immigration and the need for psychiatric therapy becomes more evident the longer he gets called out on the pernicious nature of his views.

God only knows how he'll cope the closer we get to March with A50 and the potential calamity that could occur in April!

The ever present Farage and for many his sister in arms Le Pen will have poor ///ajd wondering just which way to turn, Italy might be doing a runner as well so he could head to Spain I guess.

In his shoes I'd head for Andorra, the drive across the Pyrenees is PH heaven be it in a BMW or a vintage 911,if anyone has done the drive from Perpignan they will know exactly what I'm talking about!

It as the only example he gave of any behaviour that was somehow a problem.

He talked about NHS waiting lists, but as Wakefield is 95% indigenous population as pointed out, those 5% are not to blame for queues at the doctors - unless you want to believe they are.

He didn't say he didn't like foreign parents speaking in a foreign language. Taking Penny's loaded question is where you went wrong.

He made it clear that the kids were integrating but the parents weren't and it was having an effect on the kids.

I said both. Pedantry.

So you think the 5% are all to blame for the doctors appointment problem?

Is that is a fair conclusion given the maths in play, or is it misguided prejudiced misconception?

Its not hard to work out which it is, is it?

If you listen again, he starts by addressing the point of how people get labeled ( by people like you ) as racist for expressing concerns. He also doesn't say he was talking expressly about his local A&E or doctors, but said "we" , as in all those people up and down the country where this will be an issue with local services.
You might want to think of going to be, because you are digging yourself into a hole with you own ignorance and willingness to hear only what you want to hear.

Ah, I see, he wasn't about the impact on himself in getting a doctors appointment - it was about the impact on those "other" people affected by immigration.

I'd like to hear from some of these "other" people that are affected. There much be lots of them, yet strangely....

So, for him personally then, its just the parents speaking foreign. That's the killer issue.

fking impossible with you - you see to have a good debate both sides need to listen and discuss with respect to the viewpoints of the other party

I appreciate I'm a bit flippant some times and my humour is an acquired taste and not appreciated by all (it's a defence/safety mechanism) but you really need to have a little break away from this or it will hurt you. You are going down a tunnel believing only you are right and that means you are isolating yourself from reality and this is really bloody dangerous

I've been close to mental breakdown - I've been on the 27th floor and looked over the edge and it was a very tempting solution to what I couldn't solve - it's a seriously dark place and I don't recommend it

You fked up and assumed he said he personally had problems with services. He didn't say that and in your rush to hit PH and scream racism you got it wrong. Maybe a lesson to be learnt there ? Thought not.
I said my view earlier on the language point, you ignored it and only took your other racist screamer ( Penny ) loaded question that he had an issue with hearing foreign language. He quite clearly made a point that the speed and scale of recent immigration meant that integration had taken a back seat and this didn't help anyone.
Maybe you should ask the BBC for his name so you can get him sacked as you wanted earlier ?

Don't worry I'm really not that bothered.

To have a debate both sides need to listen and respond to the points made.

Did he say in Wakefield? Well it is reasonable to assume he is from the area and 95% are the local stats. So assuming in his area the immigrant levels are 5%, is this likely to be the cause of him not being able to get a doctors appointment?

The obvious answer is no, immigration is not the reason he can't get a doctors appointment. Hmmm - he seems to be assigning an incorrect cause to his doctor appointment problem. He is mistaken.

This could be the logic discussion and debate we could have.

I can see who is isolated from reality.

i didnt agree at all with his view that immigration causes problems in the nhs, housing etc. Well, it must have some impact, but it is not the main problem by far. However, he can have a wrong opinion.

He seemed to voice concerns about lack of integration between parents and this causing tensions, not that 'the sounds of foreign voices upsets him'.

Who knows what type of school he is at, but I can well imagine that schools exist where there is multiple languages and struggle in some regards and frustrated teachers are left to try to sort these issues.

AJD, you are entitled to your view of course, but I think you should watch this, then come back and say what he actully said was wrong, rather than saying you would get him sacked for having a different view to you:

I haven't seen this yet, but from a straightforward perspective (putting aside budgets, local availability of doctors, etc) that if you had a 5% smaller population he probably would be able to get an appointment, yes I suspect it is likely.

Of course. This is the point that ajd misses, possibly deliberately. A 5% reduction in demand would make a significant difference, regardless of where it came from. Having said that a significant reduction in spending on our multi layered government might release funding to achieve the same.

What surprises is me most is that ajd isn't all for at least one of those options; he clearly needs more help than most.........
