Some people may not know what Emily looks like I can sort that for you .....................
For God's sake. No Emily, thank you very much. I hope that this image of the delectable Margarate relieves your frustrations.

Think of the younger members.......you will ruin their futures for Petes sake.

ps who's Pete?

ps who's Pete?
Its thought to be St Peter. His name was substituted in place of Christ or God so as not to upset the powerful Clergy who could have you strung up for saying "for Gods sake".

I read a bit of Self 10 years ago, he impressed me.

I've grown up a bit now, advanced my knowledge and intellect, become more 'worldly wise'. He hasn't moved on at all, he's just an arch contrarian with a good grasp of language and a unique delivery.

I realise now that I was easily impressed before. Anybody can go on QT and make the popular argument, especially as the majority of the audience are stupid.

I am always most impressed by the people who speak and get no applause, not those who get rapturous approval.
Indeed that's a true contrarian.
No it isn't...
I see what you did there.

Did anyone else think "shame" when the labour MP didnt listen to the question from a audience member and she/dimbleby helped him. It would have been great if someone had said "not listening to the electorate AGAIN!!"

And being proud of the "socialist" NHS. Oh dear...
He was too busy preparing his party line answer . . . which was never going to be relevant to the question because he's not interested in what what's happening, only in what he thinks ought to be happening.

The Will Self rudeness towards Nigel Farage just demonstrates, again, as if we need another demonstration, why Farage and the brexiters are winning and will continue to win until politicians start to represent the public, not fight them.

Is Portillo half cut on This Week?

The gloves are certainly off - "I just realised how happy I feel that John <Nicholson - SNP> has had such a bad year with everything that has happened this year" biggrin (Or words very similar).

John Nicholson is a knob jockey who simply does not get that his breed of arrogance is what people loathe about our political class.

They're just going to re-run the most recent series backwards and see if any of them make any fking sense that way

It will be a refreshing change to see Dimbleby respond after they speak rather than jump in before they get the chance

I thought his responses were pretty ill-humoured, although Brillo was goading him a bit. hehe The group-think continues though, he's still supremely confident that Dear Leader's objective will be realised despite the SNP being consistently mediocre with the everyday stuff of government like educating children and making trains run.

The last one I watched it seemed like they were struggling to even find half an audience who supported their view.

This is what I do not understand about the Scots...

The SNP are utterly hopeless in govt. And yet they get voted in easily.

I can understand the independence faction voting for them blindly. But they are a minority. Can those wanting to stay with the rest of us not see how the SNP are ruining the country? If so, why do they vote for them? Or do they simply not vote?

They won't vote for Labour because they are useless and finished (even more so now with ex-IRA sympathiser person in critical place). Won't vote for Tories because of principle. Won't abstain because they would feel angry at their own futility. So they vote SNP rather than do nothing while they wait for something proper to come along. The only chance is for sufficient minorities to combine in coalition for a power grab. Unfortunately the devolution devil was released from captivity giving the impetus for legitimate demands for eventual autonomy.

The Tories aren't doing that bad up here in fairness, they are hardly a cockhair away from forming a Government but Ruth Davidsons ultra unionist stance is working quite well for them me thinks.

That's right, just shows how credible Ruth Davidson is. She is carrying the Conservatives beyond their actual reach.

I've heard him multiple times drone on about the popular vote in the US, and yet the SNP are possibly the most over represented party based on percentage of votes.
