Did I just hear Portillo broad hint at Farage being appointed UK's US ambassador?

Lib Dem bloke said paying 0.70% of GDP is "an international obligation". Yet only 5 other nations (Sweden, Norway, Luxumburg, Denmark and Holland) in the world pay 0.7% or more. The rest are now where near this arbitrary figure.

Indeed.

Though he amused me when he said if we make a good fist of it they'll follow. Careful what you say chap. 2016 might be the new normal smile

I feel a bit dirty - I'm agreeing with a lot Piers has said tonight.
Yep.
Me too.
Any min now I thought he's gonna peel of the mask and reveal someone else like in the MI movie

It never happened....... I'm gonna just accept that it probably happened later.

I know it isn't strictly QT related but does anyone else think Jess Phillips on This Week was rather cringey / embarrassing? She just isn't well informed enough to speak clearly about anything or to have an interesting opinion.

You'll be delighted to hear that Dimbleby did confirm that Diane Abbott will indeed appear on QT next week, apparently she's is the only confirmed attendee.

I couldn't agree more, she was a presence on the settee with very little to say, what she did say was of no significance and she came across as very vacant.

To summarise, a waste of space.

Lib Dem chap needs to have done a bit more reading before answering questions.
I wish he would shut the feck up......my telly is in danger
He's one of THE most annoying, slow talking, bullstters I've ever seen. Can't stand him.

Thornberry was her usual vacuous self.

Grayling wasn't bad but he has the personality of a wheelie bin.

The American authoress spoke some sense.

Piers stole the show, proving to be the only one that has any grasp on reality

They need a new presenter - it's reported that Dimbleby gets £15,000 per episode. Sure it's a lot less than some others but is he really worth it?

I have to say I find Dimbleby remarkably mediocre.

In the whole of Europe the only national psyches that vaguely fit into the humourless mould of EC oppression are those of Germany (and even that's doubtful now with the young generation) Austria, and Switzerland, who aren't even in the EC. In the same way that senior UK Govt members were publicly remainers but privately leavers, the rest of the EC's members are toeing the Brussels line while secretly willing on the UK to make a break so that they can all follow. The only risk for the UK in blazing the trail is that we will be establishing the prototype, and prototypes are never as good as the finished article.
The Polish chap on TW was talking about seven years to negotiate a trade deal. Anything that takes that long to put together (or in the UK's case, exit) surely can't be right in the first place.

Labour seem to have filled their ranks with shouty school gate mum types. Where she wasn't just avoiding giving an answer or even just a basic opinion, she just kept saying " its difficult" to each point. The few times she did commit herself , Neil had to pick her up on it and correct her.
Thornberry only proved the point by being another waste of time of QT.

The best way to size her up is watch her facial expressions when other people are talking. She genuinely doesn't understand anything.

If techiedave reads the Political Sketch in today's Times his pods might explode. Mentioning the Speaker's birthday yesterday it says "You almost expected the serjeant at arms to wheel in a cake from which a fishnetted Diane Abbott would burst out and purr "Happy birthday, Mr Speaker" while draped over the dispatch box".

Yes I was thinking the same about Jess, she is amazingly thick even by Labour standards!!!! The two only reasons that I can see for having on TWIP is if she has a low cut top on!!!!
