Ultimately, the remain campaign is an exercise in ignorance, vanity, sanctimony, dishonesty and condescension. Fitting that it should have Izzard as a spokesman. It's why the political ground will sour and remain toxic for as long as we are in the EU. For as long as the hypocrites and mendacious charlatans unjustifiably occupy the moral high ground, the divisions will always be bitter.
. "If you think the cost of Brexit is too high now, wait til you see the price tag attached to that other way. You won't like it"
Why are Eddie Izzard, Russell Brand, Vivienne Westwood, Emma Thompson and their ilk given so much airtime when they have very little but bluster and confusion to add to any topic?
Being "famous" should not give you some special dispensation to try and influence political debate surely.

QT last night was utterly awful. Eddie Izzard was unspeakably bad. Allison Pearson, whom I used to like as a columnist, now comes across as a bitter old bag.Hillary Benn was sensible and reasonable (for a Labourite). Farage was Farage. Chris Grayling came across as he always does - a bit thick.

Woah there - I LOVE these people.Being "famous" should not give you some special dispensation to try and influence political debate surely.
It means I don't have to put any thought in which way to act or vote. If they think it's a terrible idea, I instantly know it's a brilliant idea.
I just sit in the pub until one or more of them says something then I know what to do, after ordering a few more beers...
It's lazy, but it's accurate.

We are all Brussels!
She was getting some sympathy then about three quarters of the audience couldn't help but think 'fk right off!!'
I enjoyed it last night, but it was a shambles
Izzard was poor and Farage's passport trick is beyond lame.

We should all just say a few words, thank the Lord, and rejoice in the fact - that Charlotte Church and Brian May weren't there.Being "famous" should not give you some special dispensation to try and influence political debate surely.
