Asshole Crims, girly handbags and despising the perps aside, I can't say I could be arsed to put up much of a fight over an Audi.

It's a regular eurobox and it ought to be insured. There will be plenty of other silver ones on autotrader to replace it.

Chuck the keys as far away as you can and tell them so. They'll realise the game is up and won't hang around. In theory.

You can kill if you life is in danger but not protecting property. There was the case where a man killed a robber in his house, and no further action was put against him, but can't find the details was in the last 5 years.

Then they'd just enter the house and demand the spare.

Get in the white car, block the audi in and throw the white car's keys over house somewhere...

I'd take my chances and chuck the keys. Chances are they will see it as all going tits-up and won't have the bottle to hang around. Chuck the keys and run and I'll guess they'll see it as a low chance of success then. Not giving them the keys and standing there,I'd guess, it more likely to get you a smack in the mouth, or worse, as they'll still see they have a chance.
As someone said, its all well and good saying this, in reality you'll probably freeze and then god knows what.

Little fking s.

As said, it's a shame the bloke slipped as he would have been able to smash those little pricks into next week.

I'd of had a go at both of them. Maybe I'd of got hurt. fk it. It'd be worth it in an attempt to give them both life-changing disabilities.

Doing nothing is your best bet.

Sure, you should be fine but imagine the worry that you might end up behind bars, the time and hassle of getting legal representation and going to court.

Far easier to hand over the keys and say, "Sure, enjoy!" then call the police and insurance company.

And then hit the bargain basement thread.

I'm really surprised nowadays there isn't a function to shut the car down via mobile etc. it would allow the scum to the take the car you log on a website or speak to someone and the car is shut down. Takes all the worry etc out and no need to risk your life.
I have thought about this as well, like those American 'Bait Car' programmes, the car is shut down and locked remotely, leaving the thief stuck inside the car. Surely this would be the best option for these types of car key burglaries or carjackings nowadays, just let them take the car without putting up a fight, thief gets round the corner and the car shuts down completely with them stuck inside it until the police turn up.

I guess problem is what happens if the system is hacked (could car be shut off remotely on motorway for example) or more likely, if there is a glitch in the system producing the same result.

Lowest of the fking low....
When I'm in charge the system will shut down the car, lock the doors and release a toxic dose of fumes into the cabin instantly killing the scum.
Vehicle is promptly recovered back to the owner, stopping off at the municipal incinerator to dispose of the corpses, all at minimal cost to the taxpayer.

There is an aftermarket system. I forgot the code but basically if you open and shut the door after a short while ~(30 seconds) it will start beeping giving you another minute to enter a code on a touch pad.
Saw it in some video in America, tried to look but can't find it now.

Is that not the one that David Cameron got involved?

Had a fight in the kitchen and the "bad guy" grabbed a knife?

A lot of cars have this function in South Africa. I was over there a while ago and borrowed a mate's car for my trip and you have to press a hidden button under the dashboard before you start it up. If you don't you'll only get a few hundred metres away before the car shuts off. Signal gets sent to an alarm centre and they ring the owner to let them know someone's taken the car - my mate got a fair few calls from them whilst I has the car 'cos I kept forgetting to press the button!

Is it just me who probably wouldnt bother fighting and just hand them the keys? Its insured, why the agro and now presumably risk of them coming back as retailiation and/or getting hurt? - especially if the missus was there too.

Perhaps if it was a classic or special car but a normal Q7?
