Don't they keep a whole load of nuclear missiles just up the road anyway? I think a few bodyguards with pistols is pretty tame.
I was just about to say, plus planes roaming our skys armed with weapons that could slightly more tactically level towns or city blocks, puts worrying about licensing for a few shooters into context. I mean it's not like I can get a civvy permit for a daisy cutter is it?5ohmustang said:

Yes, of course they have guns, many more than most realise. Apaches on standby, snipers, close protection, people hidden in audiences etc
That being said, it does in a way make a mockery of our anti gun laws. Essentially if you're powerful enough you can have guns to protect you buy if you're not then you can't

The average man and woman does indeed have a inherent right to bare arms for whatever reason they see fit providing it is not to harm another human being.
That mis-interpreted right has lead to thousands of deaths. Compare and contrast with countries with tighter controls.I like Americans.
They are really funny.
Their attitude to guns is quite charming.
And they do enjoy murdering each other with guns.

Although when it comes to terrorism...
From 2005- 2015 :
71 Americans were killed in domestic terrorism incidents.
301,797 Americans were killed by gun violence
Guess which one they bleat on about all the time...

I struggle to recall the last time a two-year old killed their mum in this country.
In the Land of the Free: From Jan 2015 up to October 2015:- there were 43 shootings carried out by under 3 year olds.
- In 31 of the 43 recorded cases, a toddler found a gun and shot themselves.

I think that the day a toddler (that's what a 2 year old is) shoots his mum from the back seat of her car, while off to the supermarket, or toddler group, will be the day we have followed the good old U S of A just that teeny bit too far.Trouble is as a nation we have become like f. lemmings, so that fear above may one day well bear fruit. Sadly.

And as for a 'shoot to kill' policy, there is no other way to fire a gun.
Shoot to wound/disable? I'm pretty sure you could kneecap people if stopping them from moving meant they were no longer a threat.5ohmustang said:

They are over the top for legitimate sport users, but I'm glad we don't have a US style system. The average man on the street has no need for a gun.
The average man has no need for a motor vehicle exceeding 70mph. The average man and woman does indeed have a inherent right to bare arms for whatever reason they see fit providing it is not to harm another human being.
